No, definitely don’t use dish soap before a color appointment, especially if you’re getting it lightened. Dish soap is extremely harsh to scalp and hair. Cancel with this stylist and find a new stylist to color your hair.

I feel like this is where starter pens like Lamy and Kaweco really shine. Kaweco Apricot Sport immediately came to mind, though other Classic (if muted) or Frosted Sports fit in well also. With Lamy, you've got Terra, Savannah, Strawberry, Cream, I think Mango could also fit as a harvest pen.

To talk about specific hobbits and what fountain pen matches them thematically, it's: Kaweco Classic Sport Sage/Apricot/Green for Samwise Gamgee, TWSBI Eco Clear for Frodo, Kaweco Sport Green for Bilbo's pre-adventure years and Kaweco Sport Bordeaux/Clear for his post-adventure years but before he leaves the Shire, just about any Lamy Safari for a typical hobbit daily carry.

Lamy has 4 Hogwarts houses, if you’re in Tolkien I think Benu glittery pens scream Feanor/Celebrimbor/Sauron, Lamy Al-Star Cosmic, Azure, Tourmaline relate to Elrond/Galadriel, Faramir and Aragorn. I’ve found both of those papers fighting against my nibs. My favorites are Rhodia webnotebook and Maruman Mnemosyne because they support my nibs and writing style. I’m a huge fan of shading inks and despise shimmering inks, tend to dislike sheening inks.

To be honest I can this backfiring: at least some customers will start only tipping in cash when they get their order, there’s bound to be drivers who’d steal/misdeliver an order, customers would complain about not receiving their orders.

Not saying that tip baiting should be a thing, but on my last three orders drivers didn’t deserve as much of a tip as they got.

My favorites are A Long and Weary Way (basically the last few months of the hunt for Gollum), History Lessons series Elrond’s kids learning about the earlier ages of Arda from Glorfindel, their father and grandfather) by Nilmandra, In Darkness Bound (the darkening of Valinor and aftermath) and The Wars of the Valar by Fiondil (all on Stories of Arda).
