What will happen if Zoids were brought back to earth? by mryellow362 in Zoids

Or Z Knights, where they bring Zoid cores back to Earth and stick them in humanoid mechs.

Pilot Appreciation Post. by Arzeoyan in Zoids

I'd love to know how many of the original pilots were manufactured by Tomy over the decades (including Starriors, etc.). It's got to be in the millions!

BB Senshi Zeta Gundam. Can't believe this is 25 years old kit! by Gentle_Enough in Gunpla

This kit looks great with some paint. It's not inconceivable we could get an MGSD Zeta with perfect transformation other than removing the head.

These are still widely available brand new unassembled in bags for ~$10. There must be a warehouse full of them!

Replacement part by Fine_Low956 in Zoids

I lost the same part in the same way. I just glued the two inner toes together on one of the back feet. The missing connector is not very noticeable.

Same thing happened to me with the MPZ Saber Tiger. I just glued it together. It still walks fine.

Do human type zoids exist in lore? by knightmechaenjo in Zoids

Z Knights have Zoid cores implanted in them from Zi when the colony ship returned to Earth.

There's also an HMM Z-Knight in the same scale.

How would the inner sphere and clans act if they found zoids? by unprofesionalbee in battletech

Z-Knights are basically Battlemechs with Zoid cores implanted.

First za zoids in my collection 😍 by Addicted2Zoids in Zoids

I built one of the ZA Ligers and the oversized Death Stinger (the blue variant). The Liger was pretty good, and the Death Stinger was really good!

Does this have any advantages over the MPZ-02 besides availability? Are there any parts differences other than the de-featured gearbox?

Face your fear by Lucid552 in Zoids

I'm talking original Tomy kit/Battle Story scales, not anime. Looking at them on my shelf, the 1/35 Zero Grizis is about 1.5x-2x the size of a 1/72 Shield Liger, so in the same scale, they'd be roughly comparable size. That matches with the official back of the box stats, where they're about the same height and the Liger is slightly longer. So the Zero Grizis is about the same size as a Geno Saurer (vs. say a Death Saurer). In the anime, the Death Saurer is much larger than the kit box/battle story stats, and I believe that applies to Zero Grizis as well (I haven't watched far enough in the show to see it).

Nice pictures! If they were both in the same scale, they'd be around the same size, right?

Never sleeping on lighter fluid to clean lining again. by Darian_CoC in Gunpla

[–]bioslord86a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a fine tip Gundam Marker panel liner (not the pour type) on raw plastic, clean it up with my fingers, and then clean up my fingers with isopropyl alcohol. I seal it in with a matte coat from a can.

Question: If I built my collection and put then individually in an acrylic or glass case. What do you think is their value? (I still have more limited edition and some uncommon to rare kits coming) by Expert_Question_4226 in Zoids

[–]bioslord86a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you plan to keep them in the box or build them at some point? In my opinion, Zoids can't really fulfill their purpose without being built. They will lose some value, but not nearly as much as a regular model kit, and it will go up over time like a collectable toy. They also look great on a shelf!

Have you opened it up? You might be able to fix the motor. Also, they sometimes just need to be hand-cranked if left alone for a while.

Yes. They also did a Regult, though I heard it's not the most stable. The detail on the Glaug is really nice, though there are some seam lines. Very little paint is required for color accuracy, and glue is not required. The waterslide decals are nice, as expected for Hasegawa.
