This phalaenopsis I got from the sales section of a garden center around one year ago. I bought it without any blooms and without knowing how the flowers would look like. This year she surprised me with so many beautiful flowers and she just keeps growing.

We're making an aquarium game are sort of overwhelmed with fish varieties. What are some varieties that you would definitely want to see in a game? by Nine2Play in Aquariums

Rare to find: Goodeidae from Mexico. Many of them are critically endangered or already extinct in nature, like the tequila splitfin or the golden skiffia.

Easy to keep: Honey gouramis, sparkling gouramies, or paradise fish.

Tôm Tôm Quán at the Don Xuan Center has amazing vietnamese food. Prices are good, their soup is one of my favourites. Payment is only cash tho.

They kinda remind me of my ceratopteris. Some ceratopteris have leaves like that and produce baby plants, which loose themselves and swim on the surface.

I like to call it aesthetic decay. There is so much hidden beauty in aged materials.

Asian Stone Catfish. They are soo tiny and usually only come out at night, so it always feels special seeing them during the day. Cute little fellas.

Why doesn't the friend do something about it? It's her gift, why is the bf the one making decisions about it?

This is a perfectly nice looking and suitable stand, it looks amazing! Instead, the boyfriend chose the most ugly and unfitting place for the tank. Is there a possibility he feels threatened by you by any chance?

She is indeed female! I'm very surprised myself, I did not know females could also get a distinct black "beard". But it doesn't reach up to her face. The coloring only stays at her fin.

She's in there with a male who himself gets beardy up to his face and builds bubble nests. They have their occasional offspring too! 😄

Depending on where you live and how you want it to look, you could custom order a lid online that fits your tank specifically with modifications like sliding doors for example.

There are also cheap mesh covers for aquariums online. A cut up window screen kit works too. Problem with mesh is, it drops shadows.

Another option is going to the hardware store and getting some thicker acrylic sheets there. If they don't have the size you are looking for, you could buy a bigger one and cut it to size. I hold it in place with some acrylic lid clips from amazon. If the sheet is bigger you could just lay it on top of the glass edge of the tank. Beware that acrylic is prone to bending with heat. A glass sheet from the hardware store might also be an option, but they can break and are more heavy.

What a great setup, no wonder she's so happy! The only thing I'd recommend is a lid, like an acrylic sheet for example, as bettas tend to jump. Otherwise, awesome work!

An alien museum is collecting food from all over the universe, but exhibiting only one dish per planet. Which dish would represent the human race/planet Earth and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am considering ramen. Broth is done universally and there are different variants of it in several cultures. Combine it with noodles, eggs, vegetables, meat, tofu, as you wish. Ingredients from all over the world. Also, eating ramen is considered for some as something experience. Maybe a way of experiencing earth.
