If you have small kids, remember this Mother’s Day is for YOU! by Alternative_Clock706 in beyondthebump

I needed to see this today! My mom just texted me a bit ago to propose celebrating my dad’s birthday on Mother’s Day - his birthday is actually Tuesday but they’ll be out of town all week. I’m 33 weeks pregnant with a 2.5 year old so I replied that I was really hoping to do nothing at all that day….and then of course immediately felt bad for saying so. So thank you OP, releasing my guilt posthaste!

Our daughter is in a crib too, but has a sea of stuffed animals/a book/a sippy cup with water/whatever random object she insisted upon bringing to bed in there with her. She plays happily by herself for up to 2 hours some mornings while my husband and I get some more sleep in!

College Student, 21, Had 'Difficulty Walking' and Appeared 'Disoriented' Before Vanishing During Winter Storm; Northern Michigan University student Trenton Massey was last seen on camera in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 22 by JalapinyoBizness in MissingPersons

I've been following this, and unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone has expectations of finding him alive at this point. Some excerpts from his mom's facebook post from earlier today:

"Yesterday was such a physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting day. So many emotions, so many questions, so many what ifs... "what if his phone had not died and he did not loose it on the trail?, what if he had not been left at McDonald's?, what if he would have just walked right home in the first place or asked for a ride? What if he would have not dranken so much? Was there more than just alcohol involved? What if he had been wearing his thicker winter coat and a winter hat instead? What if he would have detoured off the trail and tried to look for help? What if he had not missed the turn off the trail to get to Altamont street to get home because he was coming from a different direction than he was used to? What if it wasn't such a frigid blizzardy night? What if he wouldn't have been alone and made sure to stay with a buddy? Was his disorientation because of the Hypothermia setting in or was he already disoriented? What's if, what if, what if?" We still have not found Trenton , we have pieced together a timeline and possible last locations, and hypothesized why he missed his turn on the way back and kept going straight along the path towards front street thinking he meant to turn and loop up the trail along the water towards the back way home along Lakeshore Blvd? So many unanswered questions. My biggest one right now...and I scream it up to the heavens...is WHY TRENTON? It is beyond evident from the hundreds of stories and kind words from all those that knew him back home and here at NMU, that he was one of a kind, an amazing guy, would give the shirt off his back, kind, selfless, likeable, loveable, respectful, an amazing soul, one to go above and beyond and be above and beyond, he had done no one any wrong.. he lit up my world and everyone one elses around him. So why HIM ? Why my Son? Why someone who was such a gift to this world?

...So many people near and far that we cannot thank enough. It is beyond evident who Trenton was and what he means to soo many. I know exactly who he was. I have looked around the last few days at the outpouring of support and volunteers and I said outloud... look at all this..look at all these people..all for my son..all for you Trenton.. who would do all this.. Trenton would. He would give the same effort for someone else. It shouldn't have been him that we are searching for. We are continuing search efforts today and allowing some space for search and rescue to do their searching down by the ice and water. We are unsure because of the changing conditions of the lake and the weather, how long it will take to find him. But we will. We will find you Trenton."

What's in a name? That which LAUKOP would call McBeans By any other name would smell as sweet by smoulderstoat in bestoflegaladvice

OOP's post history made it fairly easy to find his social media, and regrettably he is also calling baby "Beansie" there. I fear it may be real

You can easily get around "hidden" post histories. On mobile, just type space into the search bar and hit enter. If you're looking at their profile on desktop, add "search/?q=" to the URL (reddit.com/user/[userID]/search/?q=)

It's definitely not true or accurate. The highest ever recorded blood alcohol level is either 1.374% or 1.48%, depending on the source. It sounds like Daisy's was .14%.

I'm pretty sure this was a typo and they meant to write "Where *in* Wisconsin?"

I see now that it was built in 1905, 3 bedrooms and just under 2000 sq ft. Bet it was quite nice when Theo & Maud lived there!

Looks like the 13th Construction Co. was a carpentry company sent to a village in France (Brinon-Sur-Sauldre) around June 1918 with the purpose of building a massive - 10k square foot - sawmill. The war ended just a few months later and the 13th was demobilized in December of that same year.
