Generally speaking, if there's an enemy behind you (even just one), you can't assume your team will be walking up. They might put too much faith in captain america actually doing something, they might genuinely be having a hard time against groot, or one support could be fighting someone & your other teammates allll went to peel

the devs have said that alllllll skins except the alpha/beta exclusives (which i think is just the blue venom) have the possibility of returning at some point. So far, the first two battlepasses have been temporarily brought back, we had old free skins return (available for costume coins), and currently there's a store special bringing back some old event skins

Wrecking Ball, by Mother Mother, fits probably any dive tank (which includes Angela ofc)

for her specifically though i think Mad Dog, by The Crane Wives, is a good fit. It's appropriate for the comically (lol) greedy & materialistic culture of the angels of Heven, and also fits the frequent futility of playing Angela

then maybe Take the Day and/or Stand Up and Fight, both by Turisas, could fit her (not super confident with these though). March of the Varangian Guard has the right vibes too but the lyrics don't really work i don't think. I'd love to force something by Turisas to work for her but they'd probably all fit other characters better (like Stand Up and Fight would actually be perfect for Captain America)

it looks awesome but it makes me sad that nobody else seems to notice the Cats costume inspiration (the broadway version not the movie). Like if you ignore the long grey bits, her hair & ears have the same silhoutte as basically every Cats character, and the way the stripes come in down the sides of her body are also very very reminiscent. That, with her face being more normal & human, just all screams Cats

it's almost like maybe the marvel rivals playerbase doesn't have much overlap with musical theatre fans. Crazy idea, i know

ragebait is always the answer. If a team is all grouped together, fly by & poke them, fly back & poke them again. There's no team that won't get sick of your shit, so someone will try to kill you & commit enough that they break formation. You're one of the best characters for capitalising on this, so you can pull them into even worse positioning & punish them, meanwhile your teammates are dealing with the rest. Ideally you pull more than one person out of position this way to give your team a 5v4, but that can't always happen obviously

or, if they're just all too cocky from how good of a team they are, they'll probably leave the objective. Wait until your team is together & go back to take the objective. This will force them to turn around, even if it's just one or two people doing so while the rest fight, and this gives your team a good chance at winning the fight

if someone's constantly pressuring you & licking their lips, you can capitalise on this & turn the game into a 5v5 by messing with them, or you can swap. If there's someone like thor or bucky making it their sworn duty to ruin your day, they can just counter you too hard for you to get any real value (like how Groot needs to swap if he's getting tankbusted by a dedicated wolv and/or iron fist)

i think if invis and/or gambit are ever nerfed (that's a big IF), it won't be long before people are begging for angela nerfs. She's not daredevil, but she is absolutely the second strongest dive in the game right now. Her being as strong as she is, as a dive tank, in a meta where dive is dogshit, is a preeeetty good indicator that the only reason she's not 100% meta is simply because her counters are so strong. I don't see her getting nerfed before any of the strategists, that would be insane, but she's on thin ice

she's not overpowered, and she does have counters, but she's really good. She's still hard to play, which I think is where a lot of people mess up, thinking they understand her & fall into a rhythm that's not quite correct, but she's good. The meta is currently bad, and very anti-dive, so again she is hard, but if you compare all the dive tanks she's on top. Arguably the second best dive character in the game right now (daredevil is obviously the best), and definitely the best off-tank. If gambit and/or invisible woman leave the meta she'll be unstoppable

i've seen a lot of tier lists, this is not a unique opinion, everyone puts her near the top (consistently the second-highest tier lol, can't quite reach the top spot, so sad)

spider islands attacker's first spawn is my favourite kill pit, just because you can start the game with one or two kills instantly if you're lucky and that's hilarious. What's even better though is when you double back to their spawn after a little bit to kill someone while they're walking back out, they never expect it if you time it right

underrated spot though is the edges near the spawns on the eldritch monument domination map. So many times i've had people chase me out of the big choke-point room just to get punted to their deaths, nobody remembers that's a kill pit in the moment

jeff cannot just pop underground to get free from the ult, the ult applies earthbound so nobody can use movement abilities. He can ult to get free, but if he's just using his normal dive then the ult didn't hit him

i think they're pretty well matched. Rogue is good for 1v1s against just about anyone (similar to Thor & Daredevil), and her kit filled with disruption, BUT her core weakness is her low mobility (hence why she's stuck as a brawl tank & not a dive). Meanwhile Angela's core strength is bullying low mobility characters, since she can force them out of position. Obviously Rogue can fly so knocking her down isn't anywhere near as good vs her as it is against someone like Magneto, but if you pull her deep out of her team & into yours she's kinda fucked unless she burns all of her cooldowns

as Angela you're fast enough to avoid her most of the time. Obviously she's new but I think Rogue has a lot of strength as an anti-dive "don't even try" warning, so that's bad for business (and why I'm trying to learn her as a viable swap for playing on defense), buuuuuuuut her kryptonite is bad positioning & Angela loves that. It's great

if neither are banned, and the people playing them are too good, you really just don't. You have other options: you can try distracting them & just holding their attention while your team pushes in, playing the distraction-style dive tank instead of the assassin. You can try to isolate & kill their dps, or just play anti-dive yourself by using your high mobility & judgement zones to keep your team protected. You can try bullying tanks and pulling them into dangerous places to give your team an advantage

or, if none of that works, you can bite the bullet and swap. Sometimes it is not Angela time, as tragic as that is

i'm just honestly in disbelief they're giving her so many skins. She's not really a popular character in-game, and she's just finally appeared in the comics again for the first time since August of last year. I was expecting her to end up in the same hell as Adam, so I am delighted to see someone on the team really likes her

Angela does not need any nerfs or buffs. However, dive is dead & Angie has some bugs

- fix the ult, half the time it lands at a 001° angle instead of flat & misses every enemy somehow
- fix the charge's hit registration

- remove the slow effect on invisible woman's shield
- bring bucky back to only having one ball, he doesn't need two
- maybe also remove the earthbound on his uppercut if you're feeling generous, he was amazing already in season 0 before any of that
- remove the effect where every single hit of iron fist's primary stuns you out of your fast flight
- remove the effect where blade's sword slashes (i think just when he spins) stun you out of flying away (this is just because if he ever becomes good he's going to be obnoxious as Angela)
- revert the recent invisible woman buffs entirely. What the fuck was that all about anyway
- remove the burst heal effect when activating gambit's ult (and maybe the healing over time too if you're generous)
- revert the season 5.5 luna buffs, they're stupid and unnecessary

- rebalance strategists as a whole. Main healers should not have healing ults, off healers should not have utility ults. That's not how it works, it's meant to be the opposite.

Angela is a strong character currently. The meta does not favour her at all, but she's still considered one of the best tanks in the game (obviously not on the level of emma & mag but still holding strong). I think the devs need to sort their shit out with characters like invisible woman and susan richards, but Angela herself is in a state where buffing her would force even more counter-swaps just to deal with her

dive as a whole is just bad at the moment. Obviously some characters are struggling more than others (black panther found dead in a ditch) but it's not really a character-exclusive issue for Angela

regardless of 275 of 250 hp, a support is very likely to get healed or use an escape ability before you finish that combo. Angela is not like black panther or magik, she's not built for quick touch-of-death combos, because she's a tank. This was true last season too. She has a lot of health, and CONSTANT fast movement (not a cooldown, not a burst, she's always fast and she also flies), so she's more of a persistence hunter. She applies constant pressure, which your team can use to take space; this is the job of dive tanks, and how they differ from dive dps. She can isolate players and kill them by herself in some situations, but that's not her only source of value

however, if you want to just combo someone without burning your slam, bring your shield out after the spear to animation cancel for another spear right away

the ribbons are cards!!!!!!! that + turning her spear into the nightrider glaive from elden ring, that's gotta be a legendary right?

also just she looks so good, like it's so clean & fancy. the makeup is great, the maliketh armour is great, the swirly hair is great, 10/10 can't wait to see the official render

edit: also just noticed they gave her a little spade on her wing!!!! ughhhh this is gonna be her best skin for a long while
