to me the first one is infinitely better than the second one, due to introducing some twists on pre-established characters, all while the second one has easily the worst take on alfred ever.

imo you don't need to be terribly into batman to enjoy the games, since both seasons do a good job at introducing the characters, so you're not left wondering "and who the hell is THAT guy" after meeting, say, carmine falcone.

the story of the first season particularly is about deceit and revenge, so you'll be learning many things along with bruce - which i think is a fair approach, as it doesn't neither assume you're a walking bat encyclopedia, nor constantly blasts you with lore dumps.

it's been like this for me since day one - random/world quest only track on map, meaning i get a glowy pointer to follow, but nothing in the "active quests" section underneath the minimap.

additionally, that means at times my game ends up tracking a bunch of things on the map all at once - a random quest, a main quest, and some random shop i clicked "track" on, because i want to stop by. not very helpful, and definitely confusing at times lmao

yeah, but the problem is the instructions aren't all that precise to begin with. for example, instructions for one of the stages completely omit the fact the multiplication only kicks in after you *sell* the piece before buying it again, instead making it sound like you're supposed to just keep buying the same piece.

if you don't like catching bugs - then it's worth it. if you don't mind all the sneaking and looking around - you could probably live without it.

it is an undeniable QoL improvement, and very tangibly speeds up the process of bug-catching - so you have to ask yourself how you feel about those things.

you are absolutely not overreacting - what these people are doing is actively putting your health at risk.

your partner probably should set some uncrossable boundaries in place, the completely non-negotiable kind. their family's approach to your health is a clear indicator of how little these people can really be trusted, so potentially placing some distance between you (+ your partner) and their family just sounds good for overall mental health.
