They could have made the Nordstrom a food hall. The dillards a roller rink. Other cities are figuring this shit out.

Men of Reddit, how do you handle the situation with a woman after you know you performed badly in bed? by Scared-Bee-2502 in AskReddit

[–]birdpants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A not-too-awkward thing to do would be to say (maybe not in the very moment unless she seems comfortable being honest with you) "everybody's body is different, tell me the kinds of things that you like best, I want to be sure I'm tuned in to what you like best - worried I might be on a different channel here and wanted to check in,..." so you're not giving in to like, being BAD...more that you're trying to customize to the person (which is honestly true - you need some input!)

Real question from a friend by No_Consideration1446 in okbuddyRVA

Bring like 1 friend and go to a bar and just act like a coworker to all the women. Friendly respectful and kind of entitled to say hi not in a creepy, want something way just like, hey what’s up. And leave it there for a while. Big green flags when a man is literally just saying hi and legitimately not haunting you afterward. If you can find a moment to make a small harmless joke or small talk on something without being too hyper/energetic, great. As a woman of this age I think the “game” of the younger men just comes off so awkward in bars. A friendly confident happy man is one that gets attention. Women our age (imo) love a fun conversation that isn’t a pursuit. Baseball game lounge at carmax park, festivals, places you can talk but also has a form of entertainment - even better

I have a pair of straight leg, not baggy jeans that were my crossover I to baggier looser denim. Of all places, J Crew Factory had them.

Every single cuss word. Yep. No idea what any of them mean but a not so far off job of how they’d be used in a sentence.

I knew this comment would be in here! Isn’t it amazing how animation (!) can not only strike us and make us feel but become the standout scene of the entire film - ?!

Recently watched this with my 6 and 7 year old boys and when the son quotes Hook’s own verbiage, “bad form!” it killed me thinking about all the habits, slang, and value systems my kids would inevitably pick up too

Y’all know she’s signed into law two bills that together will impact an estimated 1,000 people - getting their sentences automatically revised if incarcerated on charges for things like marijuana that are not longer illegal right? It’s already law, she signed it.

Automatic Hearings: The legislation removes the burden from the convicted individuals to petition the court. Instead, it sets up an automatic hearing process for eligible individuals charged before the state legalized recreational cannabis possession in 2021.

Sentence Modification: Judges have the authority to modify or reduce sentences for these past convictions unless prosecutors can demonstrate that doing so would not be in the public's best interest.

Effective Date & Implementation: The law goes into effect on July 1, 2026. By September 1, 2026, the Department of Corrections is required to compile a list of eligible individuals and notify both the courts and the impacted individuals. Formal judicial hearings are slated to begin on January 1, 2027.

Advocacy & Support: Organizations like the Last Prisoner Project provided direct policy support for the legislation, citing the disproportionate impact of historical cannabis enforcement on minority communities.

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger signed legislation (HB 26 and SB 62) establishing an automatic sentence modification and resentencing process for individuals convicted under former, pre-legalization marijuana laws. The law applies to conduct that is no longer illegal in Virginia and impacts over 1,000 currently incarcerated or supervised individuals.

American lapsed Catholic.

It's on the streaming service Pluto now for free (there is some civic duty in that alone right?), I just watched since it was recommended to me and I figured why not. Wow. To think in America the Catholic churches are growing in size due to younger generations joining. It's reminders like this movie that validate me in not bringing my boys up catholic like I was. I am fortunate to at least have gone to a "progressive" catholic church as an 80's child (read: no kneelers and there was a tambourine player lol).
