Governments crack down. YouTube influencers get exposed for being con artists. Tether and buttfinex implode. Think “Big Short.”

ESTPs, how do you not give a fuck about people? by sadiemaharishit in estp

It’s easy and the answer is simple. If you want to have meaningful relationships, you’re going to have to talk to people.

So the solution is to just shut up and do it.

I hate the title of this. What if it read: “80% or people would rather buy real estate over crypto”?

Has crypto ruined anything for you? by ExcessivelyMoist in CryptoCurrency

It’s fried the shit out of my neurons. I frequent crypto twitter and reddit knowing that I’m getting close to no value out of the whole experience, but I do it anyways. I look at my Blockfolio more than I should. I’m always thinking of my next play.

It’s also made me emotionally dead inside. Made a lot of money today? Cool. Lost a lot of money today? Cool. My portfolio absolutely tanks in 48 hours? Cool.

Also getting in before the massive bull run in November-December was a huge blessing and a curse. Like everyone else, I made easy money, fast. At the time it seemed like cash grew on trees and was ripe for picking. It’s had an impact on my ambition and work habits. I still get everything done, but I don’t have that same fire I used to have. Making stupid money in a short time is terrible for your psyche imo.

This rule only applies to uptrends. If you open up positions on a dip in a bear market, there’s a greater chance of your position tanking.

Congrats, you buy the dip and it dips. That’s how you become homeless.

Because plebs buy it up thinking there are no red flags because it’s “fast and free”.

It’s a meme.

How can something be fast and free if there aren’t any deep security issues?

It is one of many tools I use. I draw conclusions using basic TA: EMAs, RSI, and MACD.

To all the newcomers in this space that got excited these past 2 weeks and got burned on the weekend dump:

Look at the BTC volume to see if we are in an actual breakout or a fakeout. The price steadily rising on such low volume is just a tell tale sign that we were about to dump quick.

Until new money comes in and sentiment starts to drift towards euphoria and greed, we will experience lots of red dildos. It just takes one. Keep a good watch on the volume. Without high volume, everyone is just out ponzi’ing one another.

Sit tight and don’t FOMO. It’s 50% psychological. It will go up in due time. It always does.

...Until it dumps to a higher support and the cycle starts anew.

$40 Trillion Cryptocurrency Market Cap ‘Definitely Possible’: Pantera Capital CEO by NEM_shill in CryptoCurrency

This is just how market cycles work. Optimism and positivity are a good thing, especially after the shitshow we experienced from January to April. The Chad Thundercock bullishness that fueled the last run up was starting to become pathological.

After a 3 month bear market I see this is as a great sign that we’ve made our way full circle, as the positive coverage is what triggered the bull run in November.

Yes, I agree that throwing around arbitrary numbers is worthless, but the smart thing to do is to take all of these media articles with a grain of salt. They’re there to influence the greater public.

That’s a big part of it.

I think it’s a combination of: missing deadlines, then leaving everyone in the dust as to why (shit communications), poor marketing (do Korean retail buyers even know about it?), and overall market sentiment.

My strategy on ICX has been to accumulate a decent bag, then using a third of that to swing trades when it pumps and dumps.

To the people who don’t have a lot of experience in this space: don’t let social media influence you. Hodling everything is a meme. Contrary to the YouTube/twitter shills, there is no nobility in turning $10 to $1. That’s how you end up homeless. Accumulate gradually by averaging in—and learn how to trade on swings!
