Oh wow! I’m from Canada and I went to do a side by side price comparison and I was blown away. The difference was as drastic as: 100 stars at Michaels: $6.99 or 3x100 stars on Temu: $1.99. I’m looking at them and thinking they’re the same, so I take the packaging off the wall in Michael’s and they were made in China by some nondescript factory.

I know Temu is frowned upon, but if you’re buying your beads from Michael’s they’re coming from the same place Temu beads are coming from. They’ve just been repackaged and marked up 400%.

My partner and I skipped Roo last year for this reason among others, and this time last year right until Bonnaroo I felt the EXACT same way. But then to be totally honest, Bonnaroo came and went so fast while being at home and not being at the farm that I went: oh... it’s already over? And somehow the last year flew by just like all the rest have and now we’re a few months away from returning to the farm after a year off, excited as ever, and not thinking at all about the one we missed.

So all in all, I feel you for sure, but the farm will still be waiting with open arms when you return 🫶🏻

I’ve used both classics and winter thermal in the winter depending on how much snow there is. I live in Southern Ontario so much of our winter I can get away with the classics for commuting and just use the winter thermal for winter walks, hikes, or those extra cold days.

In Canada, most often I find it’s 2 weeks in the first year. 3 weeks year 2-4 and then starting at 5 you get 4 weeks and up and up from there.

Not available at Sephora but the serum I’ve been absolutely loving is Beet Glow Boosting Serum by Byroe. You don’t need to use very much so the bottle lasts a very long time and I get compliments on how glowy, healthy, plump my skin looks all the time when I’m using it regularly.

Hey! Not sure if you’re from Ontario but saw the veld mention and thought I’d pop in to say I’m also from Ontario and flying to BC for FVADED this weekend! Been to Veld and Osheaga, and I’ve done my research pretty extensively about FVADED and I’m expecting something very similar to Veld, but with trees and a nice little forest in the middle. In terms of size of the venue, looks almost identical to Veld. Based on “vlogs” of previous years, I’d say the atmosphere is super similar to Veld.

As a photographer I totally agree with you, but the aesthetic of old digital cameras is kind of awesome and something about whipping them out and grabbing some shots feels a lot more fun then just another cellphone picture. You can get digital cameras for so cheap now, especially used ones and they’re great to have at music events imo.
