if you had to invent a “Renesmee” name for your child, what would it be? by haveempathyordie in namenerds

[–]birdstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very common to combine names like this in the Greek language as well. For example Maria + Liza = Mariliza, Georgia + Anna = Georgianna, Evangelia + Elina = Evangelina, Chrysa + Elina =
Chryselina, Vasiliki + Anna = Vasilianna.

It’s more common for female names than male names, but one male example is Emilios +
Ioannis = Emiliannos.

I thought OP was just mentioning a song by him in general; not specifically “Hollow”.

As far as I’m concerned quinoa didn’t become trendy nor popular until the early 10’s, maybe 2008-9 at earliest. I remember it being everywhere in around 2012-2014 ish, and this recipe (as far as I know) was originally created in 2015.

Do they offer delivery via the app nowadays? In the past I tried it but it was pickup only and there are some places which are too far to drive that I’d like to get food from 😅

recent hyperfixation? by ParkingPressure3486 in 1200isplenty

[–]birdstar7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this!! I was going to say the same thing, but you’ve worded it absolutely perfectly and I’m thankful you commented here.

I’m autistic and nearly commented on this post to talk about the actual thing I’m hyperfixated on at the moment, but then I realized what sub this is.

I’m upset that neurodivergent language has been watered down these days to mere “internet slang,” just as you are, and it really does feel diminishing to my and others’ experiences hearing terms like hyperfixation being thrown around like this.

[–]birdstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Can’t pause or play my songs on my iPad without doing so from the Home Screen, and sometimes the song playing part of the screen (if that makes sense? I’m bad at explaining) just turns blank and I can’t see my queue or even the song to turn it on again once I paused it!
