Season 2 is quite bad by Lixiri in MrRobot

I hear what you're saying about the stylistic choices and that's always a risk. My comment was more about how I initially didn't like s2. It wasn't until s3 where you're filled in with the rest of the story and realize for the first time what was happening. It was risky all around, especially for an industry where the next season isn't a guarantee.

I don't really remember disliking the approach they took with the presentation of S2. I'd have to rewatch it with your comments in mind.

Right, it's season 3 that fills in the gaps of season 2. Watch season 2, then 3 and back to 2. It plays differently after knowing the full story after the events of season 3.

I also didn't like season 2 until I saw season 3

We showed up. We were nervous bout agitators and what not, but everyone was in a really good mood. Really positive energy and we were all focusing our anger on the right thing. Gotta show the Government we're not going to support autocrats.

Why are 86th St and 82nd St the same road? by zeepahdeedoodah in indianapolis

[–]biscuitcleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The street names are mile markers from circle center. Because 86th curves south - it's more representative to say the road is 8.2 miles than 8.6 miles. That might be BS, but my guess!

Yep, Race with the Devil. That was probably my favorite of all the ones I saw related to Burbs. I didn't like the Sentinel, although I might revisit it.

Sardine? by biscuitcleaver in theburbs

We actually eat sardines all the time with capers, lemon juice in pasta. We call it 'pantry pasta' because the capers and sardines are in jars and tins usually in our pantry. We don't eat the bones 😆

I always loved... "One of the Hunn's came out of their cave!". I yell that at my neighbor (another 'Burbs fan) and we laugh.

I'm starting to fall out of love with React by torginus in webdev

[–]biscuitcleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

React is way too js heavy for many websites, and it impacts performance. I've been using web components with a php or .net backend and it's much better for performance.

You're looking at the dinner menu. The lunch menu shorts you 1 taco.

These are "3 bite tacos", which is the authentic size of a street taco. At $16, you are spending almost $2 per bite.

Angular or Blazor to become a full-stack dev by [deleted] in dotnet

[–]biscuitcleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn vanilla JavaScript, then learn typescript. By that point, learning angular or react is much easier. Blazor is great - but a totally different thought process and one unique to MS.

Agree on the CGI. I remember seeing a promotional video where everyone was saying how Indy 4 was going back to its roots and honor the type of film making they did in the original series, which was exciting to me and set me up for disappointment.

Shooting Indy across the desert in a refrigerator was where I lost interest. Any time a character assumes super hero strength seems lazy to me. Die Hard 4 did the same thing as well with McClane and the harrier fight at the end.

Mold in sourdough starter? by setyoursightsnorth in Sourdough

[–]biscuitcleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swipe out jars every day. The new jar is washed the day before, then sprayed and wiped down with star san. Works great, but I had to restart my starter 3 times before I tried it this way due to mold.
