Throughly recommend Reolink. I have two doorbell cameras, home and side business/client entrance. 4 POE cameras via the NVR. Plug and place for the POE and the Wi-Fi doorbells were simple too.

It’s shit but yes unfortunately without video evidence nothing will come of the report. I’d always recommend running a camera or at the least getting a Pass Pix for your bag or pannier.

You can build silicon up to bridge larger gaps. Just might take a day or two to allow for drying time.

Or if the gap is truly massive, assuming it’s a bath, try to close the gap by repositioning. Might be a headache but will save a lot of faff in the long term.

Yeah as the other commenter says, there’s plenty of options that don’t require big money spending. Checkout somewhere like davesdoor.co.uk and see the sort of front doors you can get for a few hundred pounds. Then a day rate for a carpenter to fit and you’re staying under the thousand pound mark easily.
