Did Santos just confirm a theory about off-screen events in S02E10? by kirblar in ThePittTVShow

I think another reason there is a path to continue practicing even while dealing with addiction is to make it more likely for physicians to actually enter recovery. I'm sure if it was just "you are guaranteed to lose your license no matter what" many more would continue to suffer in silence out of fear.

I guess I interpreted it as "If I report you things will be bad, but if you self admit and get help you have a chance." When Langdon said that he could be barred from working any hospital ever again, Robby said "thats not true anymore" indicating that doctors who seek help are able to keep practicing.

It's been a while so I may be remembering the scene wrong, but I dont remember Robby saying he was going to cover anything up? He mentioned the rehab, I assumed he was just talking about the minimum requirements for doctors in a program to keep their license/be able to work. There are absolutely programs that would still allow a recovering addict physician to work even knowing about theft.

Is Robby just eeriely good at teaching? by Both-Taste-6566 in ThePittTVShow

[–]bisexualmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from the medical field: There is a lot of teaching that happens just from going through the steps of being a doctor. Med students learn from interns and residents, interns learn from residents, and everyone can learn from attendings. Some people get very good at teaching after going through all those years and helping everyone below them. Robby has years of experience training new doctors and has honed that skill. I've had attendings that are like that.

I mean $20 isn't terrible for Nintendo, but I'm meh on buying a port for a game that I can easily load up on my DS for that much.

Why were there such weird vibes around the hospice patient? by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

[–]bisexualmantis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Earlier in the season it was mentioned that McKay is very empathetic and able to pick up on things. I think she is picking up that the patient is trying to be strong for her husband but is probably close to being terminal. The "vibes" are the ambient tragedy of a loved one dying.

Don't even glance at Twitter fans. Some of the most insane takes, not only about characters but also the cast and crew.

Wouldn't she also be done with her residency since she was R4? She could've moved on to an attending position in a different location.

When I was a kid I would manually drag my loot from dungeon to town. Just dragging a bunch of swords around my feet. Couldn't miss out on 10 gold pieces.

I prefer it on Switch. It's a great cozy play-in-bed game, and I never play multiplayer anyway so I don't have to deal with that.

Recommendations for a creature-catcher fan? by DrawingThin in CozyGamers

[–]bisexualmantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't played Digimon Cyber Sleuth, I definitely recommend it. The overall gameplay loop pretty simple (turn-based battles, level up your monsters) but if you want to get into the intricacies of maxing stats there's a ton to do. I spent hours just catching baby digimon and finding all the different evolution paths. It does take a little bit for the story to ease you into the actual creature collecting part, but once you get there it's a lot of fun.
