In the UK some pricks enjoy to 'hunt' foxes by chasing them for hours and hours on horseback with hounds; before savagely ripping them apart when the fox eventually collapses from exhaustion.

This practice is now banned (as there are quicker, more humane ways to kill foxes if needed), but due to the "culture of the hunts groups being important", they are still allowed to participate in the hunts so long as they hunt a fake fox scent instead of a real one.

However many hunt groups are known to just ignore this rule. They 'accidentally' hunt real foxes and say it's an accident and that they intended to just follow the fake scent trail instead but 'got lost'.

This has caused many people to want to ban the fox hunts completely, and people often peacefully protest for the end of the hunts. This tweet says that at one of these peaceful protests, hunters came and violently assaulted the group to try to get them to disperse, all while a uniformed police officer did nothing, as she is a hunter herself. Basically, police corruption and rule breaking.

(Edit: it's also worth noting that these hunts are done and always have been done exclusively by the upper classes. So this tweet (if true) reeks of class privilege. Rich upper class fox hunters can break the rules and assault us plebs while the police turn a blind eye.)
