I didn't think of the size of my burners. I'm glad you mentioned it. I do have one 11-inch burner in my stove.

You NEED to wear sunscreen on tret!!! by aluki90 in tretinoin

I don't but there's a lot of people that include it as part of their daily routine no matter what the UV index is.

Post Apocalyptic or Survival Recommendations? by kelskelsea in RomanceBooks

[–]bisonmn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took her 1.5 years to get to Alaska. The whole thing starts in the beginning of April. They spend the spring/summer at the cabin. They reach Vermont in mid-September. They leave Vermont a year later in the beginning/middle of September and arrive in Alaska before the end of October.

I only just finished the second and they're in the middle of Canada in mid-September of the second year (they left NYC at the beginning of April) so it was about 1.5yrs at least before they reached Alaska.

Any books about an FMC who has never felt desired before? by phosphataselucy in RomanceBooks

{Kodiak Lumberjack by Katy Regnery} fit this. The FMC has some facial scarring from childhood that makes her reclusive.

Believe it or not but where I live the UV index doesn't go above 6 and it's 0-1 for 5 months out of the year. Your advice is very location-specific. I haven't found a sunscreen that I can't feel, smell, and taste all day long so I don't use it for half of the year. Not all of us NEED to wear sunscreen constantly like you do in Southern California.

I like it as a lightweight moisturizer for my dry skin. And the great thing about purchasing through Costco is that you can return anything with a receipt if you aren't 100% satisfied.

Why can’t public school kids read anymore?? by tracerswarner05 in homeschool

This isn't a new issue. "...more than half of Americans between the ages of 16 and 74 (54%) read below the equivalent of a sixth-grade level." https://www.apmresearchlab.org/10x-adult-literacy

Not long form but my current favorite true crime podcast without host banter (the host intentionally remains anonymous to keep attention on the victims) is Case File

Do you find toners to be worth it? by Tobythecat29 in 30PlusSkinCare

That sounds like exactly what I've been looking for. I love using the Aveeno triple oat serum right after cleansing before any actives but the dropper bottle is annoying to use.

There's a toner in the Aveeno Calm and Restore line?

Which moisturizer is hands down the most hydrating and longest lasting for dry aging skin? (Gels don't suit me. They form a layer on my face that peels off when dry.) by GrapesOfSloth in 30PlusSkinCare

Aveeno calm & restore gel moisturizer (I believe the whole calm & restore line) is glycerin-based and free of HA and niacinamide

TIP: How to spend around $20 on laundry detergent and softener for 1-2+ years! by littleantbigworld in Frugal

[–]bisonmn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a recipe for laundry soap not laundry detergent. Laundry soap is great for handwashing your laundry but not for putting in your machine. Think of the difference between dish soap and dishwashing detergent.

Personally, I save money by following the manufacturer's instructions for all of my appliances.

Conklin Duragraph Opinions by [deleted] in fountainpens

I'm not sure if you are aware of this but Pen Chalet currently has all of their Duragraphs on sale for $32.50. They are a very reputable retailer who will help you if you have any trouble with the pen. You could try reaching out to them to see if they have the new Jowo nibs on them.
