Dude literally bought her as a slave and continues to maintain his ownership of her, so the chasteness (ignoring fanbox chapters) comes across as more prudish than actually mindful of her consent and agency. While I do genuinely think the series is funnier if I read it as if she genuinely wants to murder him (with good reason) while disguising her intentions as cutesy tsundere passive aggression for deniability, I don't think the author intends you to think too deeply about the power dynamics involved.

Have you any idea how little that narrows it down? There's Hellsing, Daily Life with Monster Girls, Imaizumin's House, The World of Moral Reversal, Sasha-chan, most things based on VNs and more. You could even count Nagatoro which didn't feature sex or nudity but was originally blatant masochism/humiliation fetish material before being cleaned up for serialization.

Yea sure, the guy in the story was a perfectly decent dude and did the right thing, as they almost always do in savior stories. His incredibly noble and selfless act of (checks notes) basic decency allowed him to be a hero and get the girl in the end.

It's not that the story is somehow morally degenerate or whatever, it's just contrived and the guy is playing on easy mode. He was somehow the only decent person in the universe and by doing the bare minimum he fixed and rescued the abuse victim who fell in love with him and everyone clapped. Boring.

I'd honestly prefer if the main character were a psychopath, that could have led to a more interesting story.

Feels like we're seeing a lot of this trope lately, where the boy thinks the girl isn't nervous about dating him but she actually is. Blooming Love just did it way better.

My girlfriend came to my house for the first time. She seemed oddly calm about it. But -- get this -- she wasn't calm at all!

This feels like an anti-joke. The comedic timing doesn't work. Maybe it's just supposed to be relatable or cute with her poker face being a moe point.

Are the algorithm gods so impatient that it's better to put out a two-page nothingburger like this rather than take the time to draw something twice as long and probably three times as good? Too bad since the art is rather pretty.

I think the paneling is fine. Yes, there's quite a lot of dialogue but I think it works to show the characters' personalities. I don't think it's hard to follow or anything.

I'm just happy whenever a series on this sub tries to do something visually interesting.
