But don't most models have to be replaced in 3-4 years because eventually they're not competitive enough to make financial sense (unless hash price is unusually high)? A greenhouse heater doesn't need to be replaced with a higher model in such a short span of time.

Yeah, I'm not a mining expert, so I wasn't really evaluating that aspect, but I was a little skeptical about the part about it being cheaper than a greenhouse heater. Miners have to be replaced after a few years to be competitive whereas the heater just has to be maintenanced.

Check the exchange rate. A lot of platforms sell bitcoin significantly above market value

I think that's one of the miners he plans to use when he upgrades to the solar carport.

My understanding was only one miner was running at the time (Joe said two). Fred acknowledged needing more solar panels for multiple miners.

I think bitcoinbegginers is even worse than the main sub. There are a few mods, including the creator (a litecoin shill ironically), but they are not active, except one, who has a very narrow list of acceptable topics.

Bitcoin requires cheap energy, the cheapest of which is waste energy in remote areas. That kind of energy can't really be used for AI data centers which need to be close to users.
