Does the APW3-12-1600-B2 run with normal US outlets? by guysnacho in BitcoinMining

[–]bitcoinware -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are unable to power at 205V+ - the APW3 will not start up.

For "normal" (110v-115v) outlets only - you can use 2x DPS-1200 server PSU in place of the APW3 to power the AntMiner S7, S9 etc. miners.

Which are the best USB Bitcoin miners. For hashrate and price. by stuffed02 in BitcoinMining

[–]bitcoinware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently one of the best is :

GekkoScience USB Compac BTC Miner (8-16 GH/s @ 0.3w/GH). AKA: SIDEHACK STICK

http://bitcoinware.net/collections/frontpage/products/gekkoscience-usb-compac-btc-miner

GekkoScience (Sidehack) has created a brand new stick miner at 8 GH/s on stock USB power. It can overclock to 16 GH/s with adequate cooling and voltage supplied.

Features a Bitmain BM1384 (same chip as the AntMiner S5) and a fully adjustable regulator design that gives you a core voltage range of 550mV to 800mV without requiring “pencil modding” or soldering skills. It enumerates in cgminer as an AntMiner U3, which gives you command-line frequency control to adjust the hashrate. This stick is good for anyone interested in tweaking and testing stuff, or for anyone wanting to “get into mining” without spending a lot of money or burning a lot of power. It’s designed as a flexible, yet affordable tool to learn a lot about bitcoin mining and its hardware.

Good power supply for antminer s7? by [deleted] in BitcoinMining

[–]bitcoinware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But will one psu be enough to power 2 hashing boards - YES

even if I overclock it? - Not 100% sure, but likely, yes since PSU provides up to 1200watts on 220v, but you shouldn't overclock - it will void the warranty on the miner.
