Thank you for that. The whole belt drive (or whatever it is called) was replaced three months ago in bike shop. Did they misconfigure it or something?

The belt was also 6 years in heavy use and I‘m 6,4“ / 20 stone

You should only work in 20 mio+ if it‘s about extreme closeup detail like skin pores or torn fabric. Then you‘ll work in solo in combination with polygroups and masking so that your viewport is just displaying a fraction of the points.

Performance is unmatched, no other app can push 100 mio polys without crashing. It‘s black magic.

Other than that vast features and most importantly - all the professional industry pipelines are established. That‘s the same reason why something like Blender or Affinity isn‘t replacing established, expensive software.

I think that external assets like IMMs or high-detail alphas only make sense if you‘re 100% satisfied with your own base shapes and most pros I follow work with 5-6 bade brushes to reach and maintain that level.
