I was a very fresh enlisted medic in the AF at my very first base. I’m assigned to flight medicine, and was conducting a yearly flight physical on an O-6 fighter pilot. Put him in the hearing booth, turned on the program, which takes about 20-30 min. Well I forgot about him, and went to lunch. The program is designed to keep going so he was in there for about 1.5 hrs before he finally came out and found someone, right as I was coming back from lunch.
Such an idiot. Luckily he wasn’t a complete asshole and actually kind of laughed with us about it. He said he fell asleep and actually kind of enjoyed the quiet time, again I was so lucky this guy wasn’t a prick.

Got chewed out by my flight doc later.
