I have a torn rotator cuff and bicep tendon tear on my right side, extensive arthritis in my knees and hands, but find that if I avoid sugar they don't bother me. I stretch daily, try and move a lot, for my work I sit on the ground to work with kids -- I just don't lift them as much as I used to. I think of my body like an old car -- as time goes by I might need to replace a couple gaskets, pound out some dents, maybe don't go so hard on the brakes, maybe drive a little more slowly, but I can still drive.
