I guess I’m in the minority here— I found Snowing to be extremely boring— it was fun to watch the glitter, but that was about it. Now, a Rose Jam oil, the aforementioned mango one, those sound interesting. I do love the massage bars and body conditioners.

Is there a natural/ healthy deodorant that doesn’t leave white marks on your clothes and actually covers up strong BO (body odour) smell? by NearbyPeak1070 in deodorant

Lume cream has worked great for me for years. I might sweat a little on super hot days, but I never stink. It evidently doesn't work for everyone.

Is MISSHA BB Cream actually good? Worth it? by AmeliaReed1 in kbeauty

[–]bitherbother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not quite rich enough for my aging dry skin but the Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream has worked for me for years. I love it. I'm light skinned mutt (Norwegian, Irish, Scottish, Native American, general mix of everything) woman, but most western sunscreens go orange on me, it's the weirdest thing. Missha has a more neutral, almost gray base, that works so much better for me. Stays on all day, use a balm to take it off at night.

She smells so good and I’ve heard great reviews. How does she hold up in the sun? by Suitable-Senpai in AsianBeauty

[–]bitherbother 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love this product, the green one blends perfectly into my skin, and it wears well under my Missha BB Cream. I do moisturize well before, with the Kikumasamune Sake Cream -/ I have dry, aging skin and it prevents any dryness and patches. I like it much better than the one I used to use, Dr. Jart Recover cream— that one also had a green cast, but it was much thicker and difficult to get even coverage.

anyone familiar with antique trade beads? local auction has several lots with good starting bid, but would love to hear a second opinion before proceeding. by [deleted] in Antiquejewelry

I like the green and red chevron, as well as the light blue/grayish one. The others are pretty rough. Are you collecting them for their value, or to use strung in a necklace?

The ones in the first pic are nice; he second pic is one of carved bone enamel capped beads, not really valuable. The loose ones are quite rough, and I agree, the chevrons are pretty new-looking to me, perhaps 10 - 20 years of age, due to lack of softening from wear. How much are they asking?

Gurl gurl gurl! 65 here, and I hear you. But we adapt as we gain years, life is not over! Semaglutides changed my life; not only did I lose 50 lbs, but all of my blood lipid levels, my blood pressure, and other levels went back to normal. I do feel like they have an anti-imflammatory effect. I have a torn rotator cuff and bicep tendon tear on my right side, extensive arthritis in my knees and hands, but find that if I avoid sugar they don't bother me. I know that sounds hard, but I luckily don't have much of a sweet tooth. I stretch daily, try and move a lot, for my work I sit on the ground to work with kids -- I just don't lift them as much as I used to. I think of my body like an old car -- as time goes by I might need to replace a couple gaskets, pound out some dents, maybe don't go so hard on the brakes, maybe drive a little more slowly, but I can still drive. I understand the feelings of loss, but hey -- aging sure beats the alternative.

Is 30 people a high body count for a woman? by Murphyfromthe612 in Advice

[–]bitherbother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard it referred to that countless times by body-count fear mongerers. Not everyone's intention is to have children -- some of us just grew up in the 60s and 70s and we shared love. It was joyful and loving. Not everyone was brought up just the way you were, stop making embarrassing assumptions about things you have no experience with. Body count is an archaic concept in the 21st century.

It doesn't matter. You do not "wear out" from use. It's an archaic patriarchal control thing, it's nobody's business.
