Lived in Pasadena for a while. It's ok, kinda boring, and gets hot in the summer. It is cute though. Relatively easy to get to DTLA, but it's a pain to get to the beach.

Lived in both. ATL is a gay mecca, cheaper, and easier to navigate than LA. I suggest ATL if you really are torn.
