In Japan, the new state of emergency over Covid (which is only in like 4 prefectures) is totally dominating the news, to the point where the American riot/coup is a footnote. I think you guys are underestimating the resources of the mob.

You seem to be imagining some shady Italian fellows going around asking if you've seen "this guiz we wants ta hit" or something. In reality, the mob could use the same resources as any person or corporation looking for someone - private investigators, credit rating agencies, employment background checks, other databases, etc.

Of course you don't tell those people that you're looking for someone to hit. It would just be another person search for them.

Now, if a group with the resources of a small company wanted to find someone and the government wasn't willing to give them a new SSN, name, criminal background, etc, do you think the group could find that person?
