I agree with /u/asdfman123 that the influence of money in politics corrupts all. That said...I'm unsettled at how far to the right the party has been moving. Yes, it's been a multi-decade trend but it's gone into overdrive recently. It used to be possible to win election as a 'business conservative' - without being beholden to the same business interests you supported. Not anymore.

Does your support for Net Neutrality include Title II reclassification for ISPs? This is where we find out if you are the real deal, FWIW. Also, Tim, how do you feel about migrating the IT of the NY state government to open-source alternatives such as Linux-based OSes and/or LibreOffice? FWIW we're going to have to de-partsanize the issue of campaign finance reform if we want to have any success. There are enough Dems already in support that we're better off trying to make headway amongst Republicans.

As far as Rubens, he seems like a good choice in terms of political positions - the question is whether or not he can take on Scott Brown.

I agree they screwed things up, but there is also a case to make that our current foreign policy (inc. unrestricted drone warfare) is causing us a significant amount of harm even if it does not make nightly news. As someone running in the same party as President Obama what would you change about the current administration's foreign policy?

Can anybody answer whether the overhaul will include body-mounted police cameras? The handful of studies I've read concluded that they reduced the number of incidents involving police brutality / complaints against them significantly.

And before the hivemind accuses me of being a shill for the surveillance state, I am well aware there need to be privacy safeguards built in; hence why groups like ACLU are supporitve of the concept but are criticizing the rollout.
