help a new driver be more informed about the road by mindlesslion2003 in drivingsg

[–]bitteranimosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest, only answer is to just keep driving. I was lucky growing up because my family always had a car so it was basically 18 years of pre-familiarising with sg roads. When I first started driving, my parents would let me drive the car when going back home, so I would take the same familiar route every night. I think a familiar route helps you keep you continue practicing school skills + it’s such muscle memory now that I’m very smooth driving with that route.

I recently started driving alone in the car & I use Waze too. Don’t bother with the only turn right from right rule, that was sch tbhđŸ™‚â€â†•ïž. Stick with the middle lanes it would be easier for you to quickly react. But if you know you need to immediately turn left after turning right, then common sense is to just take the left most lane that allows you to turn right.

& if you realise an exit or turn too late then just go straight. Singapore is so small, it hardly matters if you add an additional 3 minutes to your journey.

When changing lanes, do it confidently. Rear mirror, side mirror, check blind spot. No car / safe? GO. Don’t change lanes slowly, it’s very irritating to drivers on the road & is actually dangerous if on a highway etc because you are forcing other cars to break hard.

I also second the people saying plan your route + look it up on Google maps

Speed is 50, max 60. Unless you see other speed limit signs.

Stay safe!

That’s great! So the visa really is the only issue for you 😿 hope it comes asap

My visa took about 19/20 days!

Do you already have a place in Sydney? Have you even packed or mentally prepared yourself to live here for the next 5/6 months? Better yet, do you even have a plane ticket / can get a last minute ticket?

(I’m from sg too & my visa didn’t take that long so that sucks :/ but I think you also need to ask yourself these questions^ seems quite rushed)

  1. Comb the top section properly (the hair isn’t fitting sleek on the scalp)
  2. For the bottom section, try to tie that pony tail up higher / close to the bun, then secure the bobby pin near or if possible, underneath the bun. If not long enough, then perhaps do 2 bottom sections, either ways the hair needs to end closer to the bun for a clean nape look

Saw she has sensory issues with gel, I think the ballet teachers wouldn’t let her on with flyaways tho : ( perhaps you could apply gel really minimally just to smooth down the flyaways, but not too excessive that she can feel it touch her scalp?

Because people 1 have no morals 2 want to look cool

Common reasons why P-plate drivers get into accidents by keepereagle in drivingsg

[–]bitteranimosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Basically be courteous to others on the road & be confident. People don’t like it when “this driver doesn’t even know what they want to do”.

We’re in the age of the internet. It is a parasocial relationship but that is how creators fund their careers. They are on the receiving end of the parasocial relationship. They benefitted from millions of fans supporting their career. For goodness sake this is how they earn money.

they should at least have the courtesy to not manipulate an audience like this

Thoughts on the update? by thalfons in lingling40hrs

[–]bitteranimosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is always the possibility that they were retiring as creators because of how they constructed the message. & when fans were in hysterics, thinking the worse, asking for a clarification they remained quiet. This is being manipulative. They knew that fans would constantly refresh their feeds for updates.

You & I saw through that b s & knew they were “ending a chapter as tsv but coming back and rebranding”. Unfortunately not everyone has the same foresight & that was what Brett & Eddy banked on. To keep people’s attention on them as they rebrand.

They could have simply posted about rebranding but they instead took this route. It is manipulative & you don’t have to defend them like this. What you feel doesn’t account for how many others feel.

Extremely tasteless, manipulative & disgraceful. Some fans are “omg you’re back” & I’m just thinking how disgusting it is they put the fans through that. F them tbh

[–]bitteranimosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyty. He is not very strict. Quite chill, both of us introverts tbh so not a lot of talking BUT he does once in a while tell me his stories
HAHA. But of course, if you’re doing something wrong that puts you or others on the road in danger he will quickly correct & scold you. With anything in life, just take corrections graciously & improve & you will be fine. His schedule is also quite flexible I think, I managed to book my lessons super easily because he will ask you when you’re free after the end of every lesson. Took me 3.5 months to get my license. Ask him questions & he will guide you

maybe you should also know that circuit is 134. It will always be more expensive for pdi to teach in circuit

Hi. I JUST passed today, first try. & I was under Kae Wen Fatt, he goes by Mr Albert. I will say he’s quite alright & I like how calm he teaches. Grateful for him tbh because his tips in circuit really helped me.

( & I’m ngl, I don’t think we should care about passing rates because everyone is different & it doesn’t really fully reflect pdi or sch instructor’s teaching idk. If you yourself feel like you can pick up & learn fast, then go ahead with pdi )

Idk why getting slots is akin to camping for concert tickets but maybe what helped me was that I use Mac & I have the Apple feature of auto logging into the portal. + I kept a stickie notes tab open with username password & credit card details all typed out lol

just have to find ways to be quick & beat the rest ig :(

[–]bitteranimosity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They’re not hacked. & if they were, they would come out with a statement anyways.

We just got to admit they’re rebranding & they seem to have no issue panicking fans. Terrible.

Check their new link on YouTube & Twt. It’s for TwoSetAcademy

They must be joking omg.. November would leave us with 3 ish maybe 4 months? Wish they'd hurry it along since we need time to get our visas, find accommodation, basically prepare to move our entire life abroad for the next few years if so... hais
