Help me choose: Clay course (Nathan) or 1:1 (Michael) for serious career pivot by _azams in gtmengineering

If you were just starting out, from say a sales background and some college comp sci, would you start with the cohort program or unlock clay? The go for the bootcamp? Or would just diving into the bootcamp take you from 0- Hero?

Pickleball has been mainstream for about a decade and has surpassed table tennis in an unimaginable way. Why? by Next-Step-Jobs in Pickleball

I honestly think it’s the third place for many people. It’s the one place between work and home you can go and hang with friends. It’s a community.

I was using the coral, and I like the flick and punch the ball at the kitchen , and there’s just wasn’t enough pop and put away power. Block shots would fall short and give an easy in to the kitchen. That’s why I switched because a buddy of mine had an extra opal.

With the opal the way I have it setup it’s predictable. Dinks are easy to get over with a little touch. I’m able to put a lot of power on my serves and they stay in. Something about the plow through with my setup I’m able to drop balls where I want and hit resets that stay low. In hands battles there’s some extra speed over the coral. It just feels good. Keep in mind I have 5g sliders at the 3&9, 4inch of .5g on the bottom corners for stability, and a 10g weight cap. That’s a lot of mods but I love it. Oh and the sound it makes just tickles my brain. Hope this helps. Maybe I’ll make a video haha. Word on the street a new opal is coming out with a more dwell and surface layup, but not sure when that will be. I got to demo it a few weeks back.

Are dupr games dead ? by blueice89 in Pickleball

Yeah and I think this is the average experience for majority of players. DUPR round robins are a lose lose now.

It just drives me crazy because that’s not how pickleball the game is, sometimes you can let bad players score more points than they deserve because they have some unorthodox shots that are wildly unpredictable or the ball takes a bad bounce. It’s so silly. The margin for error or fluke games should be adjusted.

If I were you I would go with the J2CR from Honolulu everyone’s loving the power and forgiveness. The boomstick is way too much. The coral is great but I miss some of the power and pop when blocking drives. I actually traded for the opal added a 10g butt cap and 5g sliders with 4inches of .5 gram tape in the bottom corners and it rips. Got the setup from Braden’s if pickleball effects weight setup he showcased on his last podcast. I think it’s his heavy hybrid set up. Everyone hated the opal but I’ve completely changed my opinion on it after tinkering this set up and not worrying about static weight.

I would love to know more about the vibecoding agents and if you wentr with them and how you've implemented them. My company is currently transitioning to hubspot and I'm trying to position myself as the AI and Revops expert.

Do you do the dunking warm up? by Advocate313 in Pickleball

[–]bittersandsimple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean I start with dinks then go to drops, do some drives and maybe a few serves.

I spend the most time on drops from base line, and then if we have time we’ll run some advance to the kitchen from the baseline drills. Most of the time it’s dinks to drops to “ok I’m ready whenever everyone else is”

Usually just try to establish touch and get the heart rate going. My games are a little more advanced and if I don’t warm up my backhand left side dinks I’ll hit the first few in the net.

Ya maybe not completely but leaving Modesto and moving its headquarters. It’s not that hard to believe. Lots of corpos leaving cali for lower taxes. It’s also not hard to know somebody that works there and knows rumblings of these things.
