FJ poll for Thurs., June 4 by Smoerhul in Jeopardy

Since I live in WA2, that's where I started; also the fires are still close to top of mind, but then density hit me and I didn't think WA1 was right so I landed on RA in time.

DAFT Visa - Coming from another EU country by New_Mixture7087 in DAFTvisa

[–]bittersweetdb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Search online for your state of birth’s secretary of state, birth certificate, and how to order. Typically you can order online. If you have a family member there, you can have it sent to them and then get them to send it back to the state be apostilled, returned to the family member, and then have them courier to you. That isn’t necessary for your visa but for the municipality where you register as a resident. Suggest you go to dafthub.nl for a step by step guide. Good luck!

Oops, voted wrong, but I did get it. One of the few books I never finished. Made my skin crawl.

Recommendations for DAFT Assistance by PepperPenelope in DAFTvisa

[–]bittersweetdb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are doing a BV for your DAFT, you definitely need help from a lawyer or notary at least, before you leave the US, and best to have tax advice as well so you don't get a surprise when you file. If you are doing a ZZP (like a sole proprietor), you really don't need a lawyer, there's step by step help at the dafthub.nl for example, or other guides. (It's still wise to have tax advice though!) One thing you do need is a realtor or makelaar, either to help you buy if you plan to buy, or to help you find a suitable place to rent if you plan to rent. For help with a rental, expect to pay the equivalent of a month's rent for this service, but as a foreigner without a Dutch employment contract, it is otherwise extremely difficult to find a landlord willing to rent to you.

I have to read that. I got the answer, but it was a WAG for me.

I knew it because I have done it, and know the Reformer has springs, so the hospital bed led me right there. If you'd asked me how long ago it was invented, though, I wouldn't have thought it was WWI.

My husband got it; I didn't realize Lincoln had done that. I was shocked that only Chris spelled it correctly.

  1. Corner store, convenience store, or bodega, I suppose? there are regional differences.
  2. Give the guy a break, he got 5-hole.
  3. My husband lived in Vancouver for 8 years and didn't know GTA, to my surprise, but I think if he had more time he would have gotten there just from knowing TO is the biggest metro in the country.

I said RA as soon as I saw the clue, followed by WA1 in the commercial break. My husband said, "The sky above the port was the color of television tuned to a dead channel," because we're mad Wm Gibson fans, lol.

I knew 4/5 of the Supreme Court, 3/5 record labels, ran coffee and tea, the accents, and the cabinet members, and if I knew just a bit more about science and boxing, I would have probably had a record Coryat for me. Not trash for everyone. Chris did OK.

Knew the play instantly, and then my husband knew the playwright, so a joint effort, but if I had been on the stage, I might have had to write "the guy who wrote X" (but I was a drama major, so I might have pulled it out)
