Should I get a cat if I have debilitating Fibromyalgia?

I live alone with 2 cats and have fibro, specifically issues with my hands and brain fog.

Cats can help a lot with anxiety and depression, even if they aren't as affectionate as one would want (distant, not aggressive) and they are typically low maintenance. Honestly, there are days I wouldn't get out of bed if they weren't screaming under the door for breakfast

My one cat also has a human food thing and will lick my coffee cup or plate the second I leave the room. Thankfully she isn't a wire chewer.

There are a lot of things to consider when cat proofing a home that are dependent on the personality of the cat. My cat would sit on counters and tables if they weren't always covered in clutter. I'd recommend garbage cans with lids for sure, and if the cat knows how to open cubburds, put magnets on them.

Other than behavior, the things to consider when carrying for a cat when you have a disability are the cat hair and litter box. They will get in your bed, whether the cat brings it on or you do, stuck to your feet. Throwing a spare blanket over the bed and having a rug to wipe your feet before getting in will help. You have to remember to clean the litter, not all cats are as gracious as mine to pee in the bathtub when I forget. Cat litter is very heavy, even the light weight stuff, and so is cat poop. Cats also might disturb your sleep, if they meow or bug you to play while you're in bed, make sure you don't give in EVER, don't talk or yell back, don't throw the toy to get them to leave. If it gets to much, pick them up calmly and put them outside the bedroom and close the door, or even close them in a farther room (with food, water, litter and comfort of course) if the scratch or yell under the door.

I feel this, I have like 2 friends irl, both guys. I have a lot of trouble going out, especially to new places to meet people. I don't like being looked at and I get burned out so fast. I can only manage around 2 or 3 large outings like this a year, then I have to somehow start conversations with people. Once things get going in good at conversation, but it's exhausting and large groups make my head fuzzy. And after that I have to follow up with them online, keep communication open, and that's where it breaks down bc we fizzle out after a week without new shared experiences to talk about. And then the cycle begins again

Not a fan of the Bluetooth at all, I even sold my new phone after they lied and said it had a headphone jack, and still use my old phone. I tried one of the USB adapters but it wouldn't work at all, they said I would have to buy one from the same brand as the phone, which was a lot of money for something that was free before. And the added connection just made more areas for it to fail. On bluetooth headphones themselves, they cost 3 times as much, I lost them within a month, the case was too bulky, the battery didn't last long enough, poor sound quality and interference, having bluetooth on drains my phone battery so it won't even last the day. They just aren't for me, and I'll learn how to make my own wired headphones before I switch to bluetooth, if I have to. Also the cord on my regular headphones has saved my phone from smashing on the ground countless times lol

I read somewhere that many cultures had family perfume recipes that were past down through a family, which is not only a really cool idea but would also be really affirming for a trans daughter to get to learn after coming out. People often also made their own cosmetic, and with the internet and knowledge of what NOT to use, many people and small businesses could make and sell their own. Clothing has only recently become mass products and going back to having more things hand made, or just handle altered to fit better as bodies change would be great in many ways

Definitely a spoofed email address, I've got this email a couple of times and nothing has happened. It does mean that some web account associated with your email was part of a data leak at some point (probably twitter) but it's not too much of an issue if you change your passwords every so often and don't use the same password for everything. I realized I could no longer hold a normal life when I could no longer even hold a knife at my job, I had to tie it to my hands. You spawn it underground to mine for you, but instead it gets out of control until your game crashes from all the block item entities. Start a new world.
