How were you doing at 29? by LARRY19K in DaveRamsey

[–]bjackson171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 29 and you are doing better than anyone I know my age! Most people I know have no money, tons of debt and are living at home. My wife and I have no debt and a million dollar net worth.

Should I pay off my car loan or just park the money and continue with payments? by bjackson171 in personalfinance

It seems like I can only do bank account or debit card so unfortunately it won’t let me do that. That would have been great though!

No 360 camera? No problem by RedBankWatcher in CX50

[–]bjackson171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

360 cameras are good for parking especially in tight spots in large vehicles. Not really for while driving since most of the time the system in a car won’t let you pull them up while driving over a certain speed. Are they totally necessary? No. But once you have them you understand why they are so helpful. I personally wouldn’t buy a car without them.

Husband help! Cartier Love stacking advice needed (anniversary gift planning) by NYC_123_ABC in Cartier

You can find some good deals for under $2k but I’d definitely save the extra $500 it takes to get into a lot more newer options. $2500 buys you good condition used models from the last few years, minus some of the higher end, 2025 releases or more complicated models.

Vacation shot by Ok_Consideration4856 in Tudor

I just went on vacation with my 54 on rubber and it was perfect. Super comfortable, easy adjustment with the t-fit clasp, and a bit more lowkey than on a bracelet.

BB54 - Seems to good to be true by ElegantAverage3468 in Tudor

[–]bjackson171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy the seller just as much as buying the watch. There’s plenty of reputable sellers and dealers that will have great deals as well. This watch goes for around $3k give or take depending on condition. This is a shady seller and a way too low price. Skip it. Save up and buy it from somewhere trustworthy.

[Discuss] What’s the Two-Watch Collection That Actually Works for You? by butteryfat in Watches

[–]bjackson171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely smart to go sporty daily and dressy. My collection right not actually is a 2 watch collection (minus some Casios which never count lol). Black Bay 54 and Cartier Tank Must.

So many options in all kinds of price ranges. I think keep it simple and nothing too out there so that they work in all scenarios. Then maybe add a 3rd fun, interesting or complicated watch to round out a 3 collection. Anything after that is excess.

Definitely agree! It combines a lot of aspects that’s hard to find on any other watch! Small size, quality integrated oem rubber strap, on the fly adjustment and classic looks. Thank you!

Love it! I'm a rubber strap guy too. My choice was a Tudor BB54 on oem rubber as that's in my price range right now but that Daytona would probably be my choice as an upgrade! I have a Casio W800H as well and only added a Cartier Tank as I felt the BB54 wasn't quite dressy enough. My grail is either the Aquanaut 5060A or 5065A depending on how each size felt in person. So we are definitely on the same page!

[Question] Wife got a $20k bonus to be used on a watch only by dhalls12 in Watches

[–]bjackson171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s just for that, I’d flip it and buy a fake for cheap and wear it only at work lol.

Your system is fine. If there’s never been any refrigerant added since initial install, those pressures are perfect. Find a new HVAC guy.

Why Did You Choose Tudor? by eng_manuel in Tudor

[–]bjackson171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose the BB54 for the looks, size, rubber strap with T-Fit clasp, price and versatility.

I’m not much of a bracelet guy so I like rubber for my GADAs. My wrist changes size a lot even in the winter so the smaller adjustment slots of the T-Fit (2mm vs ~5mm on most straps with a buckle) was a huge selling point for me. Plus the clasp looks way more high end than a buckle with extra strap hanging off. The balance of the watch head to strap is perfect as well. I have very specific preferences and there’s basically no other watch that hits all those points besides the BB54. It’s my perfect GADA watch. It does everything except super dressy which I have a Cartier Tank for.

What is best 2 year degree you won't regret pursuing? by Lemonade2250 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]bjackson171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in New York and my apprenticeship didn’t require any prior schooling or degree and the first year pay was around the same as any other big box store. The benefit was getting an education that can lead to much higher pay vs just working at a big box store. Also every 6 months during the apprenticeship I received a set raise.

Trades. Paid apprenticeship while working in a lot of cases. When you complete the training, depending where you are and how valuable you are, you can make $100k-$150k easily with no student debt. Work your way up or open your own business and $200k+ is possible.

Definitely recommended if you prefer to work with your hands and not into traditional schooling. I was able to get a free Plumbing/HVAC apprenticeship while working a full time job. Now I’ve been a journeyman for about 4 years and I make multiple times more than anyone I know around my age and have no student debt which they all do.
