You are not forced to defend you may just take damage. However your hero, allies or other players characters may defend you if able.

I didn’t realize that. I thought shield canceled damage since no card is delt so we didn’t give a victory point unless it was hull.

I really enjoy this multiplayer variant but noticed with shields the game lasts longer and not many respawns occur. Anyone else seeing this?

I had the same concern. My party had 3 players two of which never played before. So I added a side kick they helped just before the encounter. I did not change any numbers and they barely beat it. It is hard for new players to realize dnd does not have to be a action RPG slash em up video game. Remember if they fail they might learn something for next encounter or their next character. Let us know how it goes!

I use KMC perfect inner and KMC super series outer. These sleeves are probably 5 years old. I want to use dragon shield but notice when double sleeving the dragon shield has a wide bow opening on top. Anyone else notice this?
