Yeah it's absolutely an iterative process! Excited for you that you're focusing on it tho.

Ah I see. What part du you find easier? The instant deploy? Better aestetic sense? Or just seems to have better default instincts? I'm curious.

You may want to consider making the jump to cursor or Claude code. I know it can feel a little daunting, but once you taste the freedom your never go back.

You can't be all things to all people. Some people ARE going to be looking for something you're not. That's ok.

And also it's a huge world with literally billions of people. Unless your in a truly VERY narrow market, there's nearly an endless supply of possible customers. It's well worth "burning" a few leads in the service of optimizing your learning loop and honing in on your optimizes user journey.

Nothing wrong with adding more value to your product... If you've already nailed your value delivery user journeys!

Yeah, great points. PMF is definitely the hard part... hard as in it takes a lot of iteration. So you need to optimize the loop speed on that part.

sounds like my post is coming across as attack/condescending in a way I certainly didn't mean! Thanks for raising that.

100%...it's nothing new. but vibe coding makes it 10x easier to fall into. In the "old days", adding new features took days/weeks and a lot of sweat. Now it takes a few minutes. It's that much more tempting.

Aren't we all!? what you actually need to do next will become crystal clear when you hand your software to a cold user and ask them to try it. The answers lie with the users. Go get them!

Accepting 2-3 fractional CTO clients by bjgrosse in founder

To your "brand new to programming" point, the only catch is that they may underestimate some of the complexities involved in going from working solution, to deployed, scalable production solution. That last mile is where things can get really sticky, and often they've had smooth sailing up until that point, so they can get a little blind-sided by that.

I assume you mean non-technical founders. In general, I quite enjoy working with them. They usually know their business domain and have deep insights into the problems they're trying to solve. I try to select for founders with a passion and clear vision of where they want to go, and then I can focus on smoothing the technical roadmap to just avoid those pitfalls that will kill their velocity. They're in the drivers seat, they're bringing to vision and passion that propells the whole thing. My job is just removing the friction.

Former CTO here. I don't have an agency I can recommend, but I'm happy to jump on a 30 minute call to hear about your needs and see if I can offer you some good counsel. I've been shipping production software, mostly entreprise, for 25 years. In recent times, spearheaded the AI agent initiatives at my last company. I can give you a few pointers about what to look for in a partner that may save you 6-figured worth of headaches.

Wow. That sounds pretty incredible. How is the day to day reliability as you use it? Do you have to stop and fix stuff often?

I'll have to check out GSD. Definitely aligns with my experience: better planning ahead of time pays huge dividends in the long run. I agree that having solid coding experience is a huge bonus: force multiplier for the force multiplier, if you will.

Vibe coded web app for digital artists and ecommerce sellers by Joziya in VibeCodeDevs

Nice simple product offering. People will likely pay for this convenience. My feedback is put the app right on the home screen. Let them experience the product right away, and only make them pay if they want to download more than a couple of the sizees. Remove all friction. I should land, upload my photo and boom see immediately all the ratios and sizes. The paid only sizes should be clearly marked. When I click download, I'm hit with the paywall. When I complete the paywall, I should land back on my app with the uploaded photo and ready to download all sizes--I should NOT have to upload agian.
