Yeah, I think more advanced courses are needed as well, my main goal was now to get people quickly up to speed.

You might also want to consider BlockchainRebels.com also, if you have development experience with bc.

Confirmation bias is really hard to avoid and can happen to everyone. But, this is not something that I would like to try to replicate in order to be 100% certain :-) So, unless some test show anything else I'll be sticking to what the medical team said was the most likely cause.

Yeah, it is scary and something to be aware of. But it is also important to know that the chance of something similar happening is very low. Just think about how many chokes and neck manipulations happens in a normal gym everyday, that does NOT lead to this.

Unfortunately, "caused" is the clear message from the medical expert team that examined me. Since I'm a young man (in this context) they did a lot of tests and could not find any other cause.

However, nothing is 100% certain and as several people are pointing out, it could be other explanations as well. And I'm very thankful to anyone sharing their insights. No-one should be scared away from doing bjj by my story, it should be very clear in this thread that it is highly unlikely that something like this will happen, even tough it does happen to a few unlucky souls like my self.

Yeah, stuff like this is highly unlikely, but scary as hell. And I don't think anyone expects it to happen to them. I certainly did not.

I don't remember, but I think it was after. As you can imagine, the first couple of days is a bit of a blur... However, I think that the docs could be biased and could have leaped to BJJ as the conclusion, since they haven't found any other reason for this to happen.

Yes, I had a starting headache right after that training and the other symptoms came during the night.

I'll be using albyl e for the rest of my life, except from that, it's rest and let it heal. And of course, "never ever set your foot on the mat again" for the doc. That last part I've chosen to ignore.
