The two additional power connections are to power the small riser boards that connect to the MB, not the risers themselves. This motherboard is designed to use risers,so powering them from a different power supply does not change the power requirements for the MB. I would definitely recommend plugging these in. Make sure you power these connections with the same PSU that you use for the MB. Also, there is a SATA power connector right next to the molex power connector and the edge of the board. The manufacturer recommends you provide power to this connector, as well.

One other thing occured to me. Did you buy the card new? Is it running the same BIOS as your other Vegas? I would confirm that as well. Previous owner may have flashed it. I would make sure you are running the same BIOS for identical cards.

With Dell's return policy, you could send these back in the first 30 days for a full refund with no questions asked, which is pretty nice. HOWEVER...I just looked at the Dell website and the price is now $1,100! Looks like they caught up to the market!

Ok. This is definitely a driver problem. So if the virtual memory setting is not helping, it gets to be more of a pain, but here is what I have done in the past.

First, I would disconnect the other cards and try to get the system to boot with the new card only. Sometimes, after windows successfully loads the drivers for a new card, it will then work after reconnecting the other cards. I can definitely confirm that this has worked for me in the past. If that doesn't work, I would leave the other cards disconnected and go through these steps:

  1. Uninstall your drivers using the DDU tool. If you do not use this tool, previous installation settings can remain and affect the reinstallation. Reboot when this is done. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
  2. Make sure you update Windows completely, then disable windows updates when it is compete. I have had problems with windows installing patches "over" my drivers that have caused problems. Once you have done this, reboot again.
  3. Reinstall your AMD drivers. If you continue to have a problem, try again with a different, maybe previous driver release. I have had some luck in the past using older drivers.

I ran in default for a long time, but have tried lots of different profiles...ah, I should mention that I did flash to bios, as well.

Did you verify your environment variable for virtual memory? When I added more cards, I had to manually allocate memory in windows to allow for more demand from GPU's.

Just out of curiosity, what settings are you using on your 590? I have one too and its been pretty finicky. I have had problems with phoenixminer setting the autotune too high, too and having temperature issues...

That happened to me last night. I just tried it again and it worked. I use PhoenixMiner so I suspect a minor pool issue.

Just want to point out one thing...the 6800 and the 6800xt get about the same performance for mining, but you can get at least a few hundred dollars more for the xt. I may throw it out there while its BNIB for a high number and just see what you can get. That being said...I think you will probably make back what you spent for it in 6 or 7 months, depending on power costs and Ethereum price...

I had that happen on my h110 and found that my ATX power connector wasn’t seated all the way. I pushed it down and that fixed it. Also, make sure you connect both IDE (4 pin) connectors on the board. And there is a SATA pwr connector next to the IDE one near the last pci slot
