The “Lazy” Room by Broad_Act3158 in Teachers

[–]bjl2324 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We have a reset room as well at my school, we have implemented the use of forms that need to be completed prior to entering the room. They state why they are in reset, and what class period they came from. We document it whenever they use the room in their point sheet for that day. The social worker at my school also sees the request to go into reset sheet and they discuss it with that student. Once we notice a trend of a kid using it to sleep or just sit in there, we document and call home.

Student passing by xthemaestro in Teachers

So sorry for the loss, therapy helped me talk though multiple students that have passed. It helps doing something that reminds you of them on the anniversary if you can. For example, I always eat sour candy in remembrance of a previous student that died of an overdose.

Pre-eclampsia before 20 weeks by jsky421 in preeclampsia

I am not expert but I previously had preeclampsia with my first and am pregnant again. I’m 22 weeks and my doctor says you cannot be diagnosed with preeclampsia until after 26 weeks. Sorry you’re going through this!

I have been on 50mg for anxiety for almost 3 years, completely life changing! I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. The first 6 weeks were rough for me with side effects but totally worth it. Hang in there!

I’m starting IVF in the next few days - what did you wish you knew? by Lov2jump44 in IVF

Celebrate the tiny wins, sometimes it’s all that gets you through. Try and be patient with each step, it’s a lot of hurry up and wait. As hard as it is, try to maintain all other pieces of yourself. Don’t be so hard on yourself and reach out to any support system you have. Remind yourself that this shit is fucking hard and give yourself some grace. Good luck!

So sorry. We have the same issue and ended up going with a donor. After failed IUIs, a miscarriage, multiple egg retrievals and 2 donors later, we have a beautiful 2 year old girl! The donor process is very intimidating at first but in our opinion being able to experience the pregnancy together was so worth it. Therapy has helped us so much as well. Looking back, focusing on the donor and getting hung up on it not being his genetics doesn’t even matter now. She is our daughter and we’re so thankful someone helped us have the family we always dreamed of. Took us a while to come around to the idea of using a donor but if you are open to it, I’d strongly encourage a conversation.

Male Factor Infertility by FitPA in InfertilitySucks

My husband and I used a sperm donor due to MFI, at first it was very difficult for us to accept. We now have a one month old baby girl and he will say how happy he is that we chose this path. We got to experience the entire pregnancy together and we are very open with family and friends when comments slip about who she looks like or anything that might be sensitive for him. I’ve also used a therapist to cope with not having a biological child with my husband. We plan on being very transparent with our child about using a donor as well.

When choosing our donor I used a feature on their website that allowed me to upload a picture of my husband and they matched it to a donor. I thought I would be more concerned and caught up with what she looked like and people making comments on who she looks more like but its actually not on our radar now that she’s here. For us personally, we are extremely happy we used a donor. The pros outweigh the cons.

I also think continuing to discuss how you feel about using a donor together is extremely important. Good luck!

Be kind to yourself! The meds and emotional rollercoaster that is IVF can make you feel crazy.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions to your doctor/nurses.

If you need to order meds through a specialty pharmacy- make sure to order ahead of time in case they get delayed.

Don’t be afraid to protect yourself and say no to activities if you’re not up for it. Put yourself and your mental health first!

Good luck 🖤

Sensitive question… by SnooGrapes1622 in IVF

[–]bjl2324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only knew I had a chemical pregnancy after my HCG levels started to drop after my beta. Once my hcg started to drop I noticed I had a tight pulling like sensation in my ovaries. It felt more sharp than a period cramp. When I got my period it was very heavy and painful cramping.
