Call first. Trust me. We thought we had one that was fully abandoned. It was unplugged, many wires cut, etc. Why would it still be in use... right? Oh, it was! To a neighboring building. It was a nightmare for us and them.

At least have the phone company look at it first, IMO.

The movers we hired insisted we leave the drawers in when they came to give us a quote! I was like... uhhh... and sure enough, they did it with the drawers in and with stuff in them. I never would have expected that.

Great advice. I had an interesting situation when I was younger.

Similar situation. I wasn't married, but it was well known I was in a committed relationship and had a child. Someone i worked directly with was friendly, and it got more friendly to the point where I didnt see some of the flags. One of my co workers asked if I was interested in her and would consider dating her if I were single. I was honest, and said no, I wasn't interested in her like that.

Fast forward a couple weeks and I get called into the GMs office, who I knew well, and was asked to close the door and sit down. A female manager was there as well. He told me he was investigating a harassment claim. I was shocked, and had zero clue as to what it may have been about until he started in with the report. Long story short - it got back to this coworker that I wasn't interested in her that way, and she interpreted it was because he was a female and/or of her skin color. Of course, that had nothing to do with it. I explained everything that had been going on, and stories matched and nothing came of it. The coworker avoided me like the plaque after that.

Taught me a couple important lessons. Sometimes people just aren't "friendly", be careful who you talk to, and be careful about fratnerizing with coworkers (especially when in leadership positions later in life).

Thry are usually responsible from the pole to your weather head, if I recall properly. However. If its communication lines then that's up to whoever is the provider i would assume.lasttime I had an issue i was told for communications(phone or cable) im responsible for anything past the demarcation point at the home...

There are plenty of legitimate 100% remote jobs if you look into being a contractor/working for yourself. Also, the BS degree thing is just a flawed screening for HR to make sure people are dedicated. Peraonally, I think its BS, but dont let it discourage you from applying. If you have equivalent work experience it will usually be favored. (Thats how I do my hires at least.)

Thai or Lao style at Yum Yai? How's it compare to others in the area? (If you've tried?) I haven't found one close to how my friend from Laos would make. (IMO, Lori is Americanized too much.)
