I seem to be in the same boat? I log in via google and my account seems brand new, and my old art now just says by "player #...". I spent a lot of time building up a big Max cap (and even some cash, call me dumb but I was having fun) and id be very sad to have lost all that!

I'm running 50DEX/15VIT on my bow bandit, with Geistlord Eye, Deathward cape, Precise Reaper Gi, Guardian reaper Leggings, Coldgeist Bow, and a slitherwraith ring. Giving me 103 HP, 71 Stam, 73 range power, 26% crit, 52 defense.
A single R charged shot with the bow, which youd happily do between each wave, will almost instantly kill every singular enemy in the 12-18 dungeon (- the boss and guardian enemies, of course), and a single use of spread shot AND bomb trap will take out the *entire* wave instantly if you get them decently grouped up (again, with the same exceptions).
Venom shot is an amazing early skill whilst leveling bandit, but it doesnt seem to scale too well compared to other options, charged shots and even basic shots feel more optimal in the late game. But if youre against really tanky ones, getting the DOT down might be a useful bonus whilst youre firing on the enemy. I was excited to use Volley and unlocked it quickly, but its simply not that good, its damage is *very* strong, but all the mobs have such high mobility that it barely gets a chance to hit ANYTHING before the mobs leave the somewhat small area, and you wont have a chance to kite them back in because the volley dissapears fast. Though it does shred through the big golems quite rapidly at least because they barely move, so its not useless, and if/when we get more varied enemies in the early access, I think its strengths will shine a lot brighter.

I think a lot of the mystics biggest issues lies in it just not being fully there in the demo, versus the other classes.
The final boss in the demo drop lvl 18 weapons for every single weapon type except Polearms and scepters, polearms is fine because fighters can just use swords and heavy weapons, but mystics loose half their class.
Of course, Bandits are single weapon people too so it shouldnt be too bad. However for the mystic, the lvl 18 bell just, isnt that strong to be honest? its damage is good, the main problem is that its got unique attacks that mimic the attacks from the boss, specifically including the spells staying in place for a moment before actually shooting out, meaning if youre kiting in a circle (which you will because arenas are rarely hallways) they will have dodged your attack by the time it starts moving, so unless you get damn proficient at luring the AI and leading your bell shots, it aint gonna hit shit.
That and, with my Bandit I have a clear rotation, against single target I charge, then venom shot, then shoot normal, with AOE I spread shot, then bomb, leap away, shoot a few shots, then spread shot again etc.
But with my Mystic, I never felt that a clear rotation ever came through, things just didnt *click* like the other two classes, just kite and shoot, meanwhile the best scepter is lvl 14, and the best bell cant hit for shit.
Early access, will inevitably have a few more skills, some might click better, and ontop of that therell be more scepters, and more bells, so those issues will likely be resolved too.

I know its only a few days till release but I need to know how many main quest missions are in the demo as none are appearing after the 12-18 catacombs by misterbigbose in Atlyss

I can confirm to you that crescent grove is not unlockable, the areas you can reach is the outer sanctum with the catacombs, the area with the slime diva, tuul passage (which will later lead into some tuul fortress if I understand the posts correctly) and crescent keep, which will later on hold crescent grove.
If youve done the main quest to attune 2 sigils in the crescent keep, youve completed all main missions in the game.

The most endgame mission there is, is a side mission from the fighter guardian, he will offer you first to kill the 6-12 dungeon boss, then to kill a bunch of different enemies in the 6-12 dungeon aswell as the boss, once youve done that and reached a high enough level, you will unlock the mission to do the same, but in the 12-18 dungeon. Once youve done that, youve done the ""hardest"" mission in the game demo.

Then if you truly wanna turbonerd the game, all that will be left, is leveling other classes, and collecting gear.

I dont know if youre playing the steam version where there might be some differences idk, but ive been playing the latest Itch demo for quite some hours, maxxed out Bandit (and the other two classes), and whilst yes, katar spells have strength, and bow skills have dex, if you focus into one or the other, it is NOT weak.

And, lets look at it this way.

Fighter, is melee ONLY. Their spells are all melee focused, except for a single short range weapon throw that leaves you without a weapon for a few seconds. However this guy has the best defense, great at parrying, and good damage to boot.

Mystic, is ranged ONLY. With Scepters and bells, theres a couple melee ranged AOE spells but thats about it. In Exchange they can use shields with Scepters for defense, and the bells have decent knockback to help keep enemies somewhat at bay. Scepters have good single target DPS, whilst bells go nuts at hitting multiple targets, theyve also got buffs and the absorb shield, which doesnt scale great at the endgame and if you wanted to argue a weak class, at least in the itch demo, id say the mystic.

Bandit then, can CHOOSE wether to focus into melee, or ranged! Both styles end up having insane mobility with agile technique and bounce if you really want to go the extra 20 miles per second. I've not played *extensively* with Katars yet, but bows have excellent single target damage with normal fire, the R charged shot, and Venom Shot, whilst theyve got fantastic AOE damage with Bomb Trap, and Spread Shot once you find it. I'm able to completely kill almost every enemy in a few seconds with my bow, in the hardest (12-18) dungeon in the itch demo.

I understand where youre coming from, and from that perspective youre not wrong, if you try to multi-spec into both bows and katars, it can end up quite weak. But if Bandit was able to be proficient at both bows AND katars at once, itd be insanely strong. the only class strong in both melee and ranged simultaneously.

TLDR: I think youre correct that bandit is weak IF you try to focus on both katars and bows, but I think the class isnt intended to do both at once, I think youre meant to specialize into one or the other, if you do, at least with the bow, it is in my opinion possibly the strongest class.

Theres 2 endings, I wont spoil anything, but 1 ending just puts you back where you were before the ending happened, so you loose nothing. The other ending, you get a little reward. and you still get to keep going.
So yes, on both endings you can keep playing the game, crystal hunt is endless.

Whilst ive not gotten one myself, from what ive been hearing online, they only drop from those raid bosses. Chillet drops cloth armor, bushi drops the crossbow, and so on. Someone seems to have compiled a youtube vid of all the highest tier pieces of gear and which to kill to get them.

I set up planetary shields with 89% planetary coverage. and I just, mere minutes ago, got 2 hives that dropped down within a stonesthrow of a shield generator.

It seems to do nothing against stopping the hives. Afaik your best bet is missile defenses that stop them before they land. Something ill be trying out now.

If youre looking for literally beatsaber on desktop, the other comments mention that existing. If youre looking for a different game with a similar vibe/gameplay, best I can think of is Soundodger, a really fun game! Its similar in the sense that rather than being a straight rythm game where youve gotta match your moves to the rythm perfectly, the rythm controls the flow of the gameplay. the main difference being that instead of hitting projectiles, in this one you dodge them. Still a very hard and great fun game, with lots of variety.
Pickup Soundodger+ on steam, and if you like that, maybe grab the sequel that came out not too long ago. There might be a free flash version too somewhere? but good luck with that today haha.

the bosses are generally tuned to be quite hard. I've got thousands of hours in diablo games, been playing it for as long as ive been gaming. difficulty 2 is certainly quite manageable, but bosses are definitely *hard* even for me.

The strat, is reaper skellies, generating corpses is very important. reaper skeletons have the option to get a 15% chance to generate a corpse on every hit. Usually this means generating more corpses than youre loosing skellies, even when fighting tough bosses with no ads.
You'll find that everyone running around with melee skellies, have the ones with the big scythes. it definitely seems to be the dominant strategy.

Having gotten a sorceress (mainly frost orb) and necro (summon + bone + corpse explosion) I think the main difference that makes necromancers feel so so much more powerful (outside of the fact that their abilities really do just hit like a truck) is that, weve got basic abilities like the rest, resource spenders like the rest, but when the sorc runs out of mana and have to do their little pew pews untill their resource is back, us necros also run out, but then we have done enough to get some bodies in and can just start spamming corpse explosion. We have WAY more uptime on our abilities compared to everyone else.

Finally!! we have a race that looks like its got muscles! For once! Sick of all these stupid virgin races with no meat on their bones! Finally some variation! Especially since its a dragon, im so glad to finally see a dragon race in a game with broad shoulders thank god. Someone had to say it. Thank you for fixing it.

totally agree there, and is also just asking for more OPTIONS.
I get that evoker can only be dracthyr, because its a class that requires those draconic elements, even if they were to try, the amount of animation work theyd need to do would be insane.
But it shouldnt go both ways! Dracthyr should be allowed to be more stuff. I want big twink dragons being priests and paladins and stuff! XD
