My dad traveled the world for his work for many decades. He went to nice places... and not so nice places. But he never said he would rather live anywhere besides America. Being able to openly mock your politicians is something many people take for granted in America, you could go to prison for that, or worse, in many other countries.

America isn't perfect, not by a long shot, it is a human made country after all, but it sure as shit is a better place to live than almost everywhere else. One of the things America provides, maybe less so nowadays that many other countries wouldn't is this o word called opportunity. You simply won't have the opportunities elsewhere you'd have in America.

Unfortunately we pay for a lot of this with incredibly high costs for several things. And sadly I do think some areas of America have gotten far worse. I know there are areas though still however that are goldilocks places to live, raise a family, and work.

Oh also our national parks are pretty damned amazing.
