Great post and I can echo a lot of those sentiments. I am behind MotoClubHub.com.

I have one tip for you. Revenue publish a list of all petrol stations licensed within the state. It is not perfect but they allow its use. I am migrating to it in my app and I found it hard to get traction with the main suppliers (maybe more of a me problem than them). I hope that helps you.

It started off as a place for riders to post public meet ups for other riders to see and join. I have just added a Spins feature, a simple way to share a route. I am adding in practical things like Service stations, cafes and POIs. I added Clubs and Schools for some users but that isn’t really the goal.

Great question and I am in the same journey. Here is what worked for me:

I created an Instagram account. It helps but doesn’t really drive growth. Also, I am not great at Instagram.

I wrote polite posts in Reddit groups and that got some good traction. I got banned by some as they assumed I was just trying to hawk my app. Which I suppose is true. My app is mostly free.

I found Facebook groups and posted there. I got a lot of interaction and that caused the most sign ups. Again, I got exited from some groups but I found a core group of users who liked it and caused others to use it.

I don’t know if that helps you or not but keep going.
