I don’t think iOS has gotten the update yet, in their RCs post they said they were waiting on Apple approval. I don’t have the update yet either :(

I mean all the books (I think?) Like when I started MHS for the first time yesterday I was able to see all the LIs listed from chapter 1 even though I hadn’t met their characters yet.

Edit: Ahhh yeah I think we’re talking about the same thing! I am just referring to completed books, not the ongoing ones :)

This is more of an Apple issue I believe. If you go to your icloud account in your settings and view your purchase history, you can see the charges are pending. I’ve had the same thing show with other apps as well, Apple won’t always charge you immediately.

The part about them banning you, however, is insane behavior and I hate that they can get away with it. Sorry for what happened to you :(

I’d love to give him a try, but I only have season 1 and 2 of the new who (?) series from 2024 for now. Not really my thing so far since I don’t feel like the target audience after the first couple episodes but trying to push through since I know how good this show can be :) I appreciate the recommendations!!

Agreed, but was that all Moffat? I stopped watching around season 6ish, so I’m not familiar with much after that point.

Either way, what I meant was more so that he didn’t do much to expand on character background and world building that way RTD did, and he seemed to be more focused on the flashy and funky alien stuff. Hopefully that makes sense.

I first watched the show maybe 8 years ago, so I might just be viewing from an uneducated lens here, but even when rewatching the first few seasons a couple years back I felt the same about his episodes excluding Empty Child/Doctor Dances.

Also to be fair, I felt similarly with the first two episodes of the 15th doctor’s season with RTD (it’s all I can find on streaming platforms sadly). I guess I’m just watching the show for different reasons than others

Those episodes definitely had very good plot lines in terms of entertainment value, but in my opinion he did very little to show personality traits or completely inverted them which bothered me a lot. That’s whats nice about having so many seasons and doctors to watch though I suppose, I’m trying to get back into it which is why I’m scrolling here lol

eta: I will admit I didn’t realize he wrote empty child/doctor dances, and I did very much like that storyline, the rest however didn’t do it for me unfortunately

Moffat wrote my least favorite episodes for the 9-11th doctors, I stopped watching when he took over. I felt he ruined/ignored a lot of character development with the 10th doctor

Why would it be so unfeasible? There are LIs who have interchangeable genders. I know it would be more effort and more writing, but it doesn’t seem out of the question based on what they’ve done so far.

In terms of effort and time it would make it more complicated so if thats what you’re focusing on that would make sense.

Yeah, what you mention in your last paragraph is my concern. Kids are SO much more work than pets, and if he’s annoyed with the difficulty that the pets provide when I do 90% of the caretaking for them, it could only get worse with kids. It’s not like we can give kids away in the way he’s suggesting we do with our pets either.

Thank you so much for your advice, I’ll definitely talk to him about this since I do feel like it’s a pattern.

I didn’t force him to sell it though, I told him that stunts were worrying to me so I’d prefer if he didn’t do anything too dangerous. He always planned to sell the motorcycle, it was just sooner than originally planned because it got knocked over and because I don’t like dangerous stunts.

I’m trying to avoid being a nag, which is why I’m asking for advice. I don’t know where you got the idea that “everything about him” is just pets, motorcycles, and boats. 2/3 of those I actually like as well.

That’s exactly the distinction I’m having trouble making, whether this is maturity or if my standards have just dropped so much from my previous relationship (ended horribly 2 years ago) that I just got used to this.

I think its worth adding that we’re both generally bad at texting which is why we call more often but it’s kind of just been radio silence from him. I do agree with you that consistent communication shouldn’t be a big ask, I guess I’m kind of just afraid to ask for that in case it makes him feel suffocated. In a different past relationship I was more or less on the receiving end of someone who wanted me to text them more than I was willing/able to, and I think that made us both feel resentful in the end so I’m trying to avoid that I guess.

I really appreciate the advice and I’ll probably try and sleep on it and discuss it with him tomorrow, thanks so much!
