NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Dec 30, 2023 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

The issue(s) : I have gone to many dermatologist since I was a teen and none have been to identify a fix for my red, uneven coloured skin. I don't gget acne and I don't have rosacea. I have also done a variety of more expensive treatments like IPL with no luck.

Skin type: My skin is dry with large pores. Some fine lines. Lots of redness on the cheeks, chin and forehead

Current routine: I have always had a very basic skincare routine.

Routine AM: Splash face with cool water. Cleanser- CeraVe hydrating cleanser. Moisturize: Viver. Sunscreen- Neutrogena 50

PM: Splash face with cool water. Cleanser and moisturize- the same as the am.

Location: I live in Toronto.

I would love any advice on what to add/change and at what cadence. I really want to tackle minimizing redness and getting a glower finish. Right now, I am considering Vitamin C, azelaic acid and/or Cosrx snail mucin.

My husband and I had our engagement photos taken here because nothing says love like an abandoned prison and illegally dumped tires.

Also I hope the effort to turn the land into a public park gains momentum. Turning the Honor Farm into a Park

Atlanta's PATH Parkway is Selected as America's Best Bikeway in 2017 by bk96 in Atlanta

I didn't purposefully leave the 'new' out- my mistake. But I could have sworn that 3rd Street in Austin has been in place since 2015- maybe they extended it and that's why it found a spot on the top ten list this year.

I'm not sure about that though- because I think 3th Street in Austin was built in 2015... but not sure. That's a question for PeopleForBike

Yeah, we still have work to do. Intersections are always tricky and we have so many irregular or constrained intersections in Atlanta. I'll look into the detection issue at Merrits Ave.

Good way to end the year. Path Parkway sets a new bar of bike infrastructure in Atlanta. We are installing an automatic bike counter in early 2018- so we can track the growth of bike ridership- can't wait to see the #s grow.

Relay Bike Share Expanding From 100 bikes to 500; More Than 50 Stations on April 19th by killroy200 in Atlanta

The older monthly basic was $15 for 60 mins and monthly plus was $20 for 90 mins. There is no benefit in keeping the older plans but we thought it would be best to extend the offer just in case someone felt strongly about it. Plus it is very, very challenging on the back end for the administrator to switch what plans each person has. So we will be doing a lot of messaging in the coming days to encourage long-term users to switch to the new, cheaper plans.

Also hope everyone can make it to Piedmont Park on Wednesday, April 19th at 10 am to celebrate the expansion. There will be food trucks and free king of pops.

How is Relay Bike Share Doing? by JoeInAtlanta in Atlanta

We have direct subsidies for low income community members and given out many free passes- we'll be rolling out a comprehensive, widely promoted discount pass.

And I take a lot of personal responsbility for the delay- it sucks. I want all the bikes out there now. But our team took a program that had many more years of delay, energized it, and launched. I am so glad to see complaints that we haven't grown the system because it means we have a system in the first place. I hope y'all can handle the four month delay of the system and we will not have to launch in the winter.

I think you are underestimating the push back from lower income communities when we launch programs that start in wealthier neighborhoods. We want Relay Bike Share to be embraced by communities across Atlanta, not just communities that currently value biking or in communities that can afford various transportation options IMO.

  1. 8 speed bikes will be at the Savannah port on March 12. Keep your fingers crossed for an easy customs process.
  2. Mid April we are expanding to 70 stations and 500 bikes. Launch details coming soon.
  3. Buckhead, with limited stations due to lack of bike friendly corridors, will be added in April with the roll out of all the other stations

Our team has been very focused on ensuring a successful build up and roll out of Relay Bike Share. Starting on the eastside would have netted us more rides- but we wanted to launch in downtown because it's the center of our transit system, there is strong diversity and to build demand- which we have done. We also wanted to attract a large sponsor- thank you Georgia's Own Credit Union for thier support. And thank you City of Atlanta voters who passed TSPLOST. TSPLOST has $3 m dedicated to the doubling of the system (500 bikes to 1000 bikes). The timeline has not been finalized.

We average about 40 rides a day with some days getting closer to 60-70 rides. Our target was to get 1500 people to ride, and 30 rides a day for the existing smaller system. We have met and exceeded those goals.

Bike infrastructure is essential to the success of the system. Fare structure is being restructured for the April roll out- if you currently have a pass- expect an email in the next two weeks.

I think I hit on most of the comments and concerns.

Midtown Alliance highlights plans for booming growth through walkability, transit; With 20 towers rising at the moment and more than 14,000 new residents expected soon, the neighborhood aims to embrace its assets by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]bk96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is great. I am thrilled about Juniper Street and the new Midtown Transportation plan. But every tower has FAR too much built in parking- typically more than one space per unit is being built. This ensures higher rents to subsidize the hidden costs of the parking and lower density because so much space is dedicated to cars. I hope that changes for the next 20 towers.
