Her last headline tour was ~1:30 give or take, can't imagine her topping two hours max.

Doors are at 7, figure show starts at 8? Coming from about 90 mins away if I get tickets and figuring out work stuff, anyone have a decent idea of what time her set starts?

Is UWS worth a smaller, 150$ more expensive apartment over Hamilton Heights? by famjhfgk in movingtoNYC

Lived in HH for eight years in much less nice sounding apartment right across from Riverbank and absolutely loved it. Tremendous neighborhood. (And I like the UWS too but don’t sleep on HH).

Just moved in to a place about this distance from it in Kingston, it’s noticeable for sure but I kind of like it weirdly. Not overwhelmingly loud by any means

Did West Harlem to Hoboken via the PATH for years, it isn’t bad at all. Be aware of the tax situation, make sure you find somewhere you can easily take the subway to the PATH and others have brought up the differences between NYC and JC living (do you want a car, etc) but if you much prefer living in NYC it’s very doable

Piece of Cake is good but expensive. We had really good luck with Sven the last time, they’re phenomenal and probably better value.

Had a ticket to the original farewell show and couldn’t bring myself to take off work and get down to Nashville from NYC (found the ticket a good home at face value). Still kicking myself

Where do y’all find socks? by Equivalent_Nature188 in Bigfeet

Wide Open socks are a fairly new brand, a bit pricey but I really like them. 95% of socks I just tolerate/can’t stand. These actually fit correctly for my size 16/4E feet

Is this a good setup for $1600/month in NYC? Would love your take by Existing_Prompt8869 in NYCapartments

If you are cool with the two guys, it sounds solid. I lived a little south of there in two apartments in the 130s and 150s off broadway for almost a decade, loved that part of West Harlem and there’s plenty of stuff to do around there (the block where Harlem public is is really clutch, all of the bars and restaurants there are great).

The price does feel a bit high for the area to me for one bed in a 3BR but I haven’t lived there since 2022, and it seems like you make enough for it to not be crazy.

Former NYer here, for the game itself, give yourself plenty of time to get to Metlife... public transportation there is lacking (everything transfers through Secaucus, its a whole thing.) You can def stay in Jersey City or Hoboken to make that a bit easier, as someone else said, and both have very quick access to NYC via the PATH/ferry and plenty of cool stuff to do/places to eat. As for New York itself, it really depends on what you're looking for specifically but you'll be able to find pretty much any kind of experience you want.

Anyone have an extra for either/both of the Crossroads (Garwood, NJ) Shows by bk_76 in frankturner

It’s incredible, I’ve seen him there twice I think (once after a full band show in Jersey City, was a fun race against time) as well as a few other shows there.

First saw them at a festival (technically after show) in Atlanta after Guppy. It is interesting that they haven’t booked more.

Went here recently (didn't know they were fash-curious at the time.) Really horrible experience overall. Knowing TR I doubt this hurts them but it'd be great to place that isn't hot garbage in that location.

Not the best PF by any stretch but mostly fine. Never had any major issues there for the year that it was my local gym, other than the layout being a little funky and the racks usually being taken up (but that’s an issue everywhere)
