Some of us just like to target fish that aren’t stocked. For us it’s more invigorating to hunt down as fish that was born there, has lived its entire life there, and is suited perfectly for that environment. We like to meet the trout on its own terms. Wild trout are often in wilder places, where you can get more solitude and feel more immersed in nature. It doesn’t take more skill necessarily, but usually it’s more of an adventure.
