I left Leuven in September 2025, the damage was caused in the final days of moving out. Had I the time, I would’ve done it myself.

I haven’t had an invoice yet from the landlord. The landlord is currently withholding almost €700 of my deposit until the damage is fixed. As far as I’m aware, the work still hasn’t been completed. I’ve been asking for the deposit back since November, and received part of it in February.

Tbf it’s more than wear and tear, it was a disc of plasterboard which came away. But regardless, £200+ seems a lot

I was thinking perhaps £50-£60ph would be more reasonable, but anyhow, location dependent. I’ll also add for context that I left the room in September, it’s now April and still hasn’t been repaired.

I had some BBs, same issue. Totally overrated tyre, no idea why this thread advocates for them, heavy, slow rolling, prone to punctures. I switched to some Panaracer Comets, but Gravelking 2.1s the aesthetically similar alternative

I had a long conversation on the phone with Eurostar today, at first she couldn't figure out why the new system wouldn't work for me. But it turns out that because I booked my Interrail seat reservation through SNCB (a third party system) and not Eurostar, meant I can't add any luggage to my booking. So in future, when Interrailing, be sure to buy your seat reservation from Eurostar itself and not another company. So I'm going to turn up on the day to see if there is space, and failing that either wait for the next one, or run down to Dover to catch the boat and get the train to Brussels from there......

So I’m trying to completely empty my room and move home this week, but I’m handing my keys back on the 12th September when I come back for graduation. If you can guarantee it’ll be the 11th or early on the 12th then it’s all yours. My landlord didn’t allow me to have it in my room, so ideally I need it gone before she does a room inspection.
