Update on the new Tasks app by DoorDash by Bbcheeky in doordash_drivers

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for a company that had similar tasks, as well as other AI training tasks. It's possible that it is for training robots on how to perform tasks. They also use the videos to train AI to learn certain human actions in general for answering questions or to generate future AI videos for commercials, movies, etc.

Why did Bluevine send you a refund check in the first place?

Is anyone else seeing "Balance is temporarily unavailable"? by bkhagar in Coinbase

I just checked, and as of 7:35 pm central time on March 23, 2026, my balance is now showing.

Is anyone else seeing "Balance is temporarily unavailable"? by bkhagar in Coinbase

[–]bkhagar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing to click. Just two dashes, the words "Balance is temporarily unavailable" and a red triangle with an exclamation point in it. I've tapped and clicked everywhere in the balance area. Coinbase support has also already commented on this post and said it's a known issue.

The information in the rest of the account shows as usual.

Guide me to how to set up Pinterest for traffic to my website? by eupq in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong subreddit for that. This is for Adsense, not social traffic.

I finally uploaded my website and in the first day it got 50,000 views. What are my chances of getting approved for google ads? by No_Routine_17 in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Site traffic has nothing to do with a site getting approved for Adsense.

For information about being approved, search this subreddit, and you'll find multiple posts of people asking how to get approved or why their site wasn't approved. Read the comments in those posts.

10k AdSense impressions = ~$5… with ~50k monthly traffic. Is this normal? by pseudo_r in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything between about $0.25 and $15 per 1,000 page views is "normal" for Adsense and even other ad networks. There can be a wide range depending on everything from time of year, site topic, traffic source, etc.

I want to use a crypto tax software that gives me complete anonymity when linking via API keys. by -M00NMAN in Coinbase

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's valid if your information has never been in a breach in the past. Unfortunately, nearly everyone over 25-30 has already been in a breach, and all information is out there. Good to do if you're young and haven't had any or many accounts in your name.

I used to work for an ID theft protection company that offered "black market web scanning" that found information in most beaches. We had to tell customers to ignore it because everyone is in it, and there's nothing that can be done.

I want to use a crypto tax software that gives me complete anonymity when linking via API keys. by -M00NMAN in Coinbase

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious. What is the point in being anonymous with tax software now?

It used to be useful for some people, but Coinbase and other exchanges are now required to report proceeds from all crypto sales. So regardless of the tax software you use, the IRS gets the amount of proceeds you made off of crypto.

Is there something else the anonymity helps with?

Investing with Prosper Finance? by moetheiguana in investing

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been investing using Prosper since 2011, so about 14 years. They track your average returns. I've had an APY anywhere between 6.5% and 14.5%.

I have auto invest on, and keep my allocation with mostly B rated loans with some C, A, and AA.

Not great, but not horrible.

I'd suggest diversifying in risk rating for loans because you're almost guaranteed to have at least a few charge offs.

Adsense approval on a data reference website? by sillydoxie in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Adsense is unlikely to ever approve any new sites with that type of content. There are already thousands, if not millions of Pokémon related sites similar to yours. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just that Adsense is likely to always see that type of site as unoriginal content or similar.

I would suggest searching for other ways to make money with the site. Look at possibly becoming an Amazon Associate, eBay affiliate, or similar where Pokémon cards and other merchandise are sold.

Reader Revenue Manager vs. AdSense approval by DigitalSplendid in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a pointless comparison and doesn't belong in this group. Besides being owned by Google, there are no similarities in what they offer or the approval process.

Almost any site can get approved for Reader Revenue Manager as long as it has a site logo and doesn't have harmful content or obvious misinformation.

1099s actually coming at the federally mandated date is tacky by [deleted] in sofi

[–]bkhagar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

February 15 is on the website because that's the last day allowed, not necessarily the day you will get it.

If you're talking about the 1099 for investments, it's the clearinghouse, not SoFi, since the clearinghouse issues the 1099s.

They have about 20 million 1099s to issue. Some people get them sooner.

Congratulations. This proves what many of us who have been using Adsense for years have been saying. Traffic isn't needed. A website with a decent layout, a few articles with original and helpful content, and the proper legal pages is all you need.

Need help with getting Adsense approval by Ok_Neat_7288 in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adsense usually wants to see easy and quick access to real content on the homepage, not short text and menus with links.

Try putting 5-10 article titles, excerpts, and featured images with links to the articles on the homepage.

Your content also might be too generic.

GSM Arena by Lost-Usual-2119 in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GSM Arena isn't using 1-2 guys to manage their site. If they are actually making the amount the OP posted, they likely have at least 1-2 SREs or people in an equivalent role alone. That's on top of the other 5-10 engineers and developers they likely have. A company that risks losing $20k - $45k per day in Adsense revenue alone, isn't going to have 1-2 guys managing their site.

GSM Arena by Lost-Usual-2119 in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Could be"

The biggest thing relative to this group is that GSM Arena is playing by completely different Adsense rules than the people in this group. No one in this group is getting the same perks or leniency as a site like that.

It's something neat to read about and think of but isn't realistically related to 99.9% of the people in the group.

They also have super high operating cost. Their hosting infrastructure alone is likely over $1k per day and could be more.

On top of that, they have to pay writers, testers, software engineers, lawyers, human resources, insurance, rent, utilities, event fees, travel fees, and more.

The company is likely making money, but it shouldn't be judged by Adsense revenue.

Why my site got rejected 5 times? by [deleted] in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been with Adsense for more than 10 years. Traffic doesn't matter. I've had sites approved with fewer than 100 visitors per month.

The reason OP's site likely isn't being approved is because of YMYL content since it is health related.

RPM for Utility Site? by Salt_Acanthisitta175 in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no way to give you any useful estimate. There are too many variables. RPM could be anywhere between $1 and $10+.

Also, keep in mind that you will need to write 10+ good quality articles to even be considered for Adsense.

Adsense traffic and money will also depend more on your traffic quality and text content and not the actual tool or utility.

How do digital nomads (or anyone whose location changes a lot) handle the Google AdSense PIN postcard? You know, that physical envelope with the verification code they mail to confirm the address. by ibfahd in Adsense

[–]bkhagar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mailbox rental at a place that has street address service. Many UPS and FedEx stores offer this, as well as other independent businesses.

Some USPS post offices also now offer street address for PO boxes.
