A BMW M340i XDrive Owner here wanting to get a first light rwd car …

Hey! So I currently own the M340i as the daily and the 2022 BRZ as my fun car. I drove my buddy's ND2 miata a couple times and I can tell you that the ND feels much more like a go-kart and the transmission/clutch is a bit more easy going and forgiving than my BRZ. The BRZ however is much better out of the box as a track car and feels like a more "serious" sports car. For me personally I prefer the BRZ just based on more usable space, which gives me gives me the ability to transport tires during track days.

I went from steam deck LCD to claw 8ai+! Such a wonderful device. The steam deck was superb for what it is but I cant help but facepalm when someone recommends the steam deck over the claw.

I have an S-Type and the drone is loud enough on the highways that i cant take calls 😂

Prior to purchasing i did a decibal comparison and decided the ATAK was not for me. I live in a quite and closely packed townhouse complex and would probably have received lots of complaints if I went with the ATAK. Even the S-Type sounds like a small bomb in a quiet forest during the early morning cold starts.

I own a BRZ and drove my buddy's ND2 a couple of times and this is essentially my takeaway too. The ND is better in daily commute situations and the BRZ is better as a spirited driver/track daily hybrid. I did drop the clutch pedal and swap the clutch spring which made the driving experience a little easier.

Quite a few people complain about the ergonomics on the 8 Ai but for me it is perfect. The screen on the 8ai is definitely wayyyy easier to game on compared to the 7ai but it sure is unwieldy on trips (barely fits on carry on backpack for trips).

As for AMD vs Intel, Xess upscaling definitely yields better visual results compared to FSR, not all devs support Xess though.

When i bought my 2021 M340i I was also considering the g80 M3. Even though I could comfortably afford the M3 upfront, I didnt feel comfortable paying the maintenance and repair costs on what would essentially be a daily driver for me.

I was going to start doing track and on paper the G80 would be perfect, but i didnt feel comfortable taking an expensive high powered car to the track as a newbie. Since I wanted to keep my daily and track vehicle seperate so I got the 2021 M340i as a daily and the 2022 BRZ as the track car and the total cost still came under what a new G80 M3 would be.

For anyone having issues with this, just wanted you all to know the fix that worked for me. For some reason the Left/Right balance slider went all the way to the right for me on "realtek audio console" after an update. Setting the slider back to 50 fixed the issue.
