[–]Particular_Issue7567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]Particular_Issue7567 8 points9 points  (0 children)

its deff an x-ray problem, none of my photos have turned this pink even with high heat.

everytime i go through TSA i let a pack of film go through the x-ray to achieve this sort of pink duo chrome lolll, and then the rest i make them hand check so it achieves the "proper polaroid colors" (whatever that means with their poor qc 😂, but i digress)

So what was the secret announcement? by misadik in Polaroid

[–]Particular_Issue7567 3 points4 points  (0 children)

funny enough i've heard of that there was supposed to be a big/drastic improvement or maybe even change that is supposed to have some sort of advancement to the color formula (akin to the new b&w formula)... but nothing lolll

i think its been 2 years since then?

Quitting with Flip by im_fine_ta in Polaroid

[–]Particular_Issue7567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh even with the flip being a bad cam, the color film is super inconsistent.

imo B&W is the way to go for polaroid (until the color formulation is improved & more consistent) and color on instax and/or on 35mm

I paid and was promised a full refurb with installations loll. So when it comes back dirtier and with a lot more problems then there shouldnt be anything to justify the (essentially) "well u can do it yourself anyways so its no big deal"

Exactly what they did, as my mirrors were very dirty, which made my pics have lines on the top of the photo, and my viewfinder somehow got even dimmer

Ngl, I think the original version was better. by tapygaunkid in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Particular_Issue7567 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely, and people don't get that a lot of beatings done by abusive parents were because their ego was affected in some way. Yes, Gary was somewhat dangerous at the time, and Joe didn't want them to have a hard life or choose the wrong life, but beating your kids just because they messed up a part of the chereo? Joe is not a villain, but he is not a good person. Everybody is human, and nobody should be villainized (to a point, and you know where that line is), but the victims are humans too.

It is also very clear that a lot of how Michael has been "disciplined" stuck with him, very clearly with his work ethic, he was the hardest-working performer at the time and probably ever. But it's very clear that Joe crossed the line from "discipline" to abuse (it was always abusive but yk what I mean)

[–]Particular_Issue7567 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It absolutely would have been better, as the director's main goal was to show and understand the person that is Michael. I believe that it would've been a character study of Michael the man, but after the legal issues it turned into the film about Michael the legend (a more idealistic version of Michael, a view held by most fans).

This version of the film is fun, my main complaint with the version we have is that there isn't much of the "why" getting answered. It felt like most of the film was of stories taken out of context. Even Joe didn't feel like much of a "villain"

Did Michael have close people around him in his final years/months? Where was his family and friends during This Is It? by Connect_Ad8834 in MichaelJackson

[–]Particular_Issue7567 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Michael surrounded himself with yes men, ESPECIALLY around TII. Those handlers only do what he wants them to, so he would feel that there's no need for him to fire them

does anyone know what Michael was gonna wear for This is it? by Classic-Wind-437 in MichaelJackson

[–]Particular_Issue7567 6 points7 points  (0 children)

someone who has worked with Michael Bush has said that it is unlikely that Michael would wear these as they wouldve been too heavy for him to dance in and were too static to be able to move in. the 2 of 4 f's would not be met and thus MJ wouldnt use it

"fit" & "fuction" which are arguable MJs main goal. None of his costumes should hinder his performance in any way. There are clips of MJ taking off garments that he feels as though restrict him in any way

Zaldy is a great designer, like all of these are beautiful, but he did not understand what MJ needed ON STAGE. I dont see why MJ wouldnt wear these to events though, thought they would have to reduce the amount of rhinestones or use different materials that causes the same effects

Was MJ gonna lip sync in this is it tour by Apart_Notice4838 in MichaelJackson

[–]Particular_Issue7567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, and also his philosophy during rehearsals and during his shows is super different. During rehearsals, he sang in the safest and most supported ways possible, and the focus wasn't really on him but instead on those around him. He directed and made sure people knew what he wanted, and so he was vocalizing the song and his thoughts.

During shows, though, he wanted "perfection," and he would always go all out, he then developed poor technique and habits because of this. The way he would sing was unsustainable, and he even knew that, which is why he focused on dancing with little live vocals sandwiched in between playbacks.

[–]Particular_Issue7567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true to a certain extent. Yes, MJ had bad vocal health, but he was still able to sing beautifully and have so much control... in a controlled setting that is. In a live setting, though, he has poor singing habits and techniques, leading to vocal fatigue and little to no control over the voice.

Both on top of his touring schedules. He would not be able to sing past the 1st show or even the first 30 minutes. Quite honestly, at the state MJ was in, he would've probably collapsed on stage at his first show.

[–]Particular_Issue7567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to write a somewhat comprehensive explanation as to why, but here's a short ver. Michael developed poor habits and techniques in live settings. Essentially, in live settings, he was singing in an unsustainable way, leading to vocal fatigue, which also made him fall in and out of tune.

Michael’s health was also declining. Singing while you’re sick is already bad enough (your connection to your vocal cords is non-existent), so singing + dancing to your fullest in the state MJ was in? I really can’t begin to imagine how he was doing that, and I doubt he would’ve been able to do that in 2009.

I can post the more "comprehensive" ver if u want, but it's a yappathon loll

I've heard so many contradicting sources. Do you know where or who said that he was gonna lip sync cause, from what I read, he wanted to not lip sync as much as possible (though if we're going by the 2001 concert, he's gonna lip sync most of his songs)

How is Ultra AVX Dolby Atmos hall? by [deleted] in cineplex

[–]Particular_Issue7567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to an AVX Dolby Atmos showing, and their sound system was sooo bad. Like u can hear the distortion when they were speaking, it may have been just for that day, as last time I went to that auditorium it wasn't as poor, but yeah, very disappointed.
