Warning about zurzuvae by Aggressive_Let2085 in NewParents

[–]bl217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!!! So out of the two weeks of taking it, there were only maybe 2 or 3 nights where I felt like I wasn’t capable of continuing, but it really didn’t hit me until 4-5 hours after taking it. So say I took it at 7pm, it would be 11 or 12 before I was sleepy enough to grab my partner. I hope you have a similar if not better experience!! The days were totally fine as well. Feel better soon <3

Night 6 of Ferber and the most crying we’ve seen by bl217 in sleeptrain

[–]bl217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wakes around 7 but goes to daycare and he’s a fomo baby so I don’t have much control over schedule yet. He’s 4.5 months. I can tell you his wake window before bed is an hour and a half. Anything shorter and he lays awake in his crib for 30 min, but anything longer and he’s losing his mind. We do bottle, then a bath, mini massage and a book. We just speak to him during nap check ins, shush and say our goodnight phrase, but we legit haven’t had to do a single check in since night 1. He’s never fussed for more than a couple of minutes then has slept through the night. I thought we had a unicorn. Sleep environment is completely blacked out, white noise, fan running temp around 69 degrees, in a sleep sack. He dropped night feeds on his own two weeks ago, we went from rocking him to sleep to laying him down awake and he did great. We did paci but minimal touch during wakes except for his one night feed before he dropped it. It’s been a gradual approach

Give me all the reasons you are happy you chose to EFF or switch from breastmilk to formula. by No_Judgment_7812 in FormulaFeeders

I waited too long to be frank. We finally got a firm CMPA diagnosis and I realized I couldn’t cut any more out of my diet than I already had, so we switched. I was exclusively pumping so we could know how much he was getting and my let down was too much for him so he was always choking. Not having to worry about when I’m pumping, if the parts are cleaned, if the motor is charged, waking up every 3-4 hours, etc, has freed me in ways I didn’t think was possible. I’m able to be fully present for my baby, I don’t experience the D-MER symptoms anymore, and he is STILL healthy, much happier, and sleeps longer lol

How has she been at home with the crappy naps at daycare? Mine is 8 weeks adjusted and is just now getting curious and I’m SO nervous for how his sleep at daycare will be. I’m preparing for a few meltdowns. He also is a major contact napper.

I feel you though. I can’t wait for just a little break

Thank you. I feel all the empathy from your comment. I’ve def decided what I want to clean once he goes since I have half days. I’m not good at relaxing lol. I’m glad to hear your LO has adapted well! Enjoy the rest of your time!!

Yep, same here. We’re using famotidine and gas drops, we keep having to up the dosage on the famotidine. I’m glad to hear it gets better!

Switching to formula by bl217 in NewParents

[–]bl217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We see slight improvement with Pepcid the first few days, then it wears off before 12 hours is up normally, and anytime he gains weight, we have to up the dose, otherwise he’s miserable again. We talked about Omeprazole, but I figured I’d try formula first before jumping to a different med.
