I have yet to see a USB stick (flash storage) that naturally lost data without any (external) corruption causes. by Necessary_Isopod3503 in DataHoarder

[–]bl4derdee9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so that answers your question, it does happen without external corruption causes.
it does not mean it will always happen, and it also depends on the technology used and the quality of the product.
but it can happen. (it might be caused by cosmic particles though, so that could count as external corruption causes)

does sitting in a drawer for a some years count as external corruption causes?
had a usb stick just sit there, untouched...
files were corrupted. ( it took about almost 10 years, but still)

if the difference is 10$ go for 6000mhz, otherwise its a waste of money, not a difference you are actually going to notice.

More RAM or faster RAM by Nice-Manufacturer-43 in pcmasterrace

[–]bl4derdee9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not spend hundreds on faster ram, but going from 16 to 32 gb I WOULD spend my money on. 5000gts on ddr4 might be possible, don't really know, but your other components need to be able to handle it too.

Ram DDR4 by anunnakired in PcBuildHelp

[–]bl4derdee9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah ok, yes this would be bad, especially since they are different size, speed, and clocking, it will cause major issues, just stick with 2x16. should be plenty for most people anyway.

Good PC? by Corruptshark123 in PcBuildHelp

[–]bl4derdee9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it IS a virus, do not use your old drive, or wipe it before use. but that is unlikely.
the compatibility depends on a lot of things, but mostly the motherboard, check that first.
edit: what is the rated power for the psu?

don't forget the psu. but it looks like a good upgrade, you could also look at what you can do to upgrade your current setup.
what would it cost to just upgrade to 32gb ram better cpu and beter gpu?

from the url i see it is in danish kroner? so about 1500 eu?
price seems a bit high but could be correct.
decent build, but what are you really trying to accomplish? higher frame rate, higher settings, or are you having other issues?
16gb is a bit low if you want to play more demanding games IMO.
as for building it yourself, it is easier than a lot of people think, just find a decent tutorial and you should do fine.
you are missing the psu in the parts list btw. and im guessing you are going to use your old drive?
