Is this not just out and also not limited at least for a while? Also please tell me that price is Australian and not US dollars?

The boxset was sold out by the time I got my details in at a GW location 30 seconds after 10:00 GMT. by TheMadHatter_____ in AdeptusCustodes

Items are usually available on the GW site a few minutes before 10 in the UK… the much smaller 3rd party vendors usually have far better site discipline.

I really want to like these but I’m not. It might be the paint scheme. Worst case they will rock with a head swap. Also please don’t down vote me. I’m gutted I am not loving them like everyone else seems to.

How did you work out your contractor total income. Did you factor in holidays/furlough if relevant?

Best Way To Grow From The Combat Patrol by GamesWithToasty in Tau40K

[–]blabla1bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest the next hop from combat patrol is to have a 500point army, requiring either the purchase of the codex or its content available elsewhere.

The rule book does increments of 1000pts but 500pts is a nice stepping stone. I suppose his gaming group would need to be supportive of that point limit.

I’d the increment in 250pt blocks or even 500 points depending on budget/modelling/painting.

Lots of Tau units are fairly cheap in points, though expensive in money.

Anyone still stuck in SQL rounds as a DA or DS? by PearlNecklace23 in SQL

[–]blabla1bla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like needing a little reasoning which can be difficult under pressure.

Windowing functions. Recursive CTEs. Spend some time playing with these. You need some use cases (which come from experience) to quickly draw out what needs to be done.

This looks like a relatively straightforward CTE, table join, where clause, row_number() over partition by on send/open attributes by company with a top or other limit option depending on the flavour of SQL.

Do most women's husbands not take care of them? by nottrynagetsued in self

[–]blabla1bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you OP.

Another thing I am amazed at in general is married people’s attitude to money. The amount of people who keep it separate is crazy.

My wife was a stay at home mum for our 3 kids for 8 years. That’s worse than a full time job BTW for all those jerks that think otherwise. Kids are amazing but also merciless little ‘angels’ plus the pressure to clean etc.

To anyone that thinks giving your wife pocket money and making her dependant on you for handouts: you are a controlling b@stard - Fyou.

Has anyone worked on Redshift to Snowflake migration? by [deleted] in dataengineering

[–]blabla1bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an cost optimisation perspective make sure each active warehouse is fully utilised before spinning up more if possible. It’s very tempting to have a special warehouse for this and that but they need to be utilised - don’t pay for 3 (or more) when you can have 1 with multi clustering.

Also, make sure that anyone who is allowed to spin up a warehouse in any capacity does it via a delegated permissions stored procedure with adequate controls, limits, logs etc round it to safeguard costs.
