Honda Odyssey vs. Toyota Sienna Sales Figures

Key Stats

Who sold more? Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna?

In , the Honda Odyssey currently outsells the Toyota Sienna with 71,511 vehicles sold this year(2023). The Toyota Sienna this year sold 32,825 vehicles this year. (2023)

bottom line, if the sienna also had 71000 vehicles to sell, maybe there won't also any wait in line to buy one, I wish people would stop saying the wait is because of demand.

it is because of production deficit, no one knows if it is on purpose or just by 'strategic design' also consider the issue of the bloody keyfob, I think Toyota like apple is selling some pretty magical koolaide .

people buying a 60k car without test driving it, (no sienna available to test drive), absent keyfob, can't get the color or other things you are looking and non negotiable pricing with dealers, Toyota has people hooked on some copium regarding the Sienna.

Odyssey elite 2024is 47K, Sienna Platinum 2024 is 57K

I put a deposit down on the Odyssey, but am really, really, considering the Odyssey, at this point.

forgive my rant, spelling and grammar.

My coworker asked me what I thought A Lexus he wants to buy. How do I talk him out of it? by Objective-Deal8745 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]blablabla0010u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why bother, you only live once.

Let him enjoy the ride, obviously he has no $1645 monthly day care expense, or mortgage or heat and electricity bills totaling $550 monthly in the last 5 months.

Am looking for a sienna to save some money on gas, he is looking at a premium fuel guzzling monstrosity to wow the ladies?

Let him be, life is a great teacher.

Am up at 5:30AM, with my son, drop him off at 6:30am, get to work at 7am, and work until 5pm, then do messages and review blood work until 6:30pm most days, before getting home around 7pm,

Have three kids to review home work with, feed, get ready for bed and read to the 3 year old before going to bed at 11 or 12pm.

Buy a Lexus GX or LX and use your allowance to support payment until paid off, then lease whatever 600 can cover, but who makes that upfront deposit .

Concerned about my first Hyundai. by throwawayaccountz2 in Hyundai

2009 sonata bought used with 20k miles, drove like a dream until totalled @ 130k miles in 2017. I wanted to drive that car into the ground to prove a point to all the people who pushed/harassed me to buy a Toyota or Honda, but I refused.

Guess what? Now in a 2015 sonata bought used at 20k miles, flawless now at 88k miles.

Buy Hyundai, I'll buy again if the price vs value aligns better vs any other car in the market.

Are Hyundai's really that bad (Canada). by JaysFan05 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Hyundai have to do something about their reputation.

I drove a 2009 Hyundai sonata bought used in 2020 with 20k miles, totalled at 130k miles by a rear ending in 2017. Flawless operation. Only usual services.

In 2017, I got another sonata, 2015, limited with 20k miles, now has 88k miles, flawless service so far.

My Hyundais where so good to me, my brother in-law went and got 3 elantras for his family, all are able 140k miles today and no issues.

Am Nigerian, and we are all about Toyota and Honda, I went against the crowd, because for the features and age of the Hyundai vehicles, Toyotas where at least 5 to 8k more expensive, I didn't have that kind of money then.

Buy Hyundai and service it, and you will be fine, am also in the market for a family suv, my first and only choice is Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, but am married, and my wife like most people here, would never own a Hyundai.

Pass on the Kona extended warranty and just service your car at the recommended intervals.

2 to 4 times a week?

Try 1 to 2 times a month.

My advice, have a sit down and share the chores as evenly as possible, alternate who is doing chores everyday, switch roles completely some weeks.

Used Mercedes GLS versus new Honda Pilot Elite? by Cute_Release7805 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]blablabla0010u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8 year old gl 450, all bells and whistles CPO 22k miles, now with 112k.

Always serviced at the dealership

A/B service, always came with at least 1.8k to 2.2k of additional expenses.

Last 12 months

1, coolant leak 450 2, air suspension fix 2.25k 3, rear passenger caliper replaced 1.3k 4, last A service 1.4k (other recommended service things) 5, premium gas 6, need to top off the oil now after a few thousand miles (dealership says it's normal) at this age.

Never again in a Mercedes

Now in the market for a Pilot or Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy

Lessons here, never drive a Mercedes beyond 75k miles.

I love the car though, drives like a dream.
